Day 5 after chin tip + square jaw surgery (day 8 photos added)

<Right after surgery, wearing a fully automatic cooling mask><Day 3><Day 5, swelling and bruising have also moved down to the neck><Day 6><Day 8>When I was getting consultations, I went to several places, and they all said the same thing... Swelling varies from person to person... Some people even go back to work after just 4 days...

Are there really people like that? Hahahahaha

Day of surgery: Ah... it hurts... It wasn’t to the point where I couldn’t bear it, but even with painkillers, I couldn’t fall into a deep sleep and kept waking up ㅠㅠ The hospital put a cooling mask over my whole face, so keeping it cool made it a little better at least. Because I had general anesthesia, I couldn’t drink water for a while even after surgery, so I was so thirsty... Still, because of the pain, I didn’t feel hungry...

Day 2: In the morning, the New Care and pumpkin juice the hospital gave me were my first meal after surgery. Still, I didn’t really feel hungry. Because it hurt.. haha There’s a face I’ve never seen before in the mirror... I was shocked when I saw how swollen it was.... Also, I didn’t know the salivary gland area under the tongue could swell this much! It swells strangely, almost like I grew a second tongue! When I asked, they said it normally swells like that.... haha For me, the square jaw area below the ears was very swollen, so I couldn’t chew anything, and even porridge was hard to eat..ㅠ So I blended the porridge and drank it. I just drank it comfortably like I was getting nutrition hahaha

Days 3 and 4: The pain is definitely less. The swelling is the same... I kept blending porridge and drinking it, and bought moist cheesecake from Paris Baguette and let it melt in my mouth. It tasted good because I hadn’t had anything sweet in a while haha

Day 5: Even if the swelling has gone down, it’s still very swollen... Who on earth goes to work after 4 days...? And I still can’t chew food. I’m still blending porridge and eating only things like castella. I didn’t see bruising on my face, but the bruising inside moved down to my neck. How could I go outside like this hahaha I look like someone who got strangled somewhere

Anyway, for those who are thinking about surgery while working... please use this as reference... I think you need to rest for 2 weeks^^ I think the consultants really talk about the best-case scenario.... The nurse told me I wasn’t especially swollen, but if this is the case... hmm... that’s how it is. For now, I don’t think I could work even just because I can’t eat properly hahahaha
