Before<frontal selfie> After<frontal selfie> After<side selfie> After<the only makeup-on photo (left)> After<scar state (left)> After<scar state (right)> Before<When I looked in the mirror, this eye looked exactly like how it looks now (see previous post)> In my early 20s I had no interest in makeup, but at 27 I suddenly got a strong urge for double eyelid surgery and had it done. Looking back, I regret waiting so long, when it could have changed this nicely.
There are not many hospital reviews, so I’ll write about the surgical process: 1. Right before surgery, they gave one gluteal injection = swelling-reduction injection. 2. No hospital gown change. Surgery was done while I remained in the clothes I came in, so wear something easy to take off and put on. 3. I was a bit uneasy, but after showing the design and asking me to check it in the mirror, the surgeon seems to have asked, Is this okay to proceed like this? before starting. - I left everything to the surgeon’s aesthetic judgment, so I do not know how many millimeters the line was or how many mm the anterior canthoplasty was. 4. Pop music was played during surgery (Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift). 5. The surgeon said a correction of eyelid shape is unnecessary unless someone truly needs it, so she did not do eyelid-shape correction on me.
Swelling care: No special care in particular. I did not drink pumpkin juice. Instead, I ate boiled sweet pumpkin. I am an office worker, and since I do facility-inspection work outside sometimes, by postoperative day 16 the swelling was gone. The swelling on day 16 and the swelling now at 4 months are the same. -Swelling resolution process: please refer to my previous post.
Scar care: none. The hospital told me to buy scar ointment and apply it, but I never used it even once because it was inconvenient.
Outside reactions: This surgeon seems to aim for a look that is visible yet beautiful, but since my eyes are not deeply sunken, many responses were that it looks natural and came out well.
Personally satisfying points: good anterior canthoplasty, and the fact that she did not push eyelid-shape correction. I am 100% satisfied with these two points.
