They touched and checked my skin thickness and tissue quality. Since my skin is thick and my nostrils are on the wider side, they recommended an incision approach. I had looked up many alar reduction reviews before going, and this place didn't seem to have that characteristic 11-shaped nostril look after alar reduction, so I decided to go through with surgery. I didn't feel that they gave a rough consultation just because alar reduction is a simple surgery, or anything like that.
About 2.5 mm of skin was excised from the lower part of the nostril wings, and they were reduced naturally without a pinched-nose or 11-shaped nostril look, so I think I made a good choice. I'll keep watching the scar progress, but there isn't severe redness or anything.
