Personally, I researched about 100 places online, visited more than 10 clinics in person, and then chose the clinic.
Around roughly 5 years ago, I had non-incisional double eyelid surgery once, (non-incisional double eyelid + upper canthoplasty) and it came undone after 2 years, so this was a revision surgery case. This time, they said my eye-opening strength was weak, so I had ptosis correction + incisional double eyelid surgery + lateral/lower canthoplasty.
After seeing mine, so many people around me got it done too. Rather than being a huge change, I think the biggest advantage is that it gives a moderate change while not looking obvious. There wasn’t much swelling either, and I’m still very satisfied. I think it’s been a little over a year and a half since the surgery now~
I was worried because it was incisional, but first of all, there’s no obvious sign at all whether my eyes are closed or open, and people don’t really notice. I’m the type who prefers a natural look.. My impression also became clearer, and with the lateral/lower canthoplasty, I feel like my eyes look softer. Anyway, I’ve heard so many times that my eyes turned out well!! (Several friends, friends of friends, coworkers, the younger sibling of a close older friend’s boyfriend, my maternal aunt, my paternal aunt, acquaintances of acquaintances, etc., several people got it done)
My criteria for choosing the clinic were that I looked through reviews on each site, picked places according to my style, and chose the director who gave me the strongest good feeling. For eyes, I wanted them to be natural and not extremely flashy, but at the same time they shouldn’t be so subtle that there’s no noticeable difference,, Anyway, the conclusion was that they had to look natural.. I chose a place like that!
