Before <Before surgery (digital camera ver.)> Before <Before surgery (phone camera ver.)><Day 5 after surgery (phone camera)><Day 7 after surgery (digital camera - stitches removed)>Until now, I had only been getting lip fillers, but after getting them repeatedly, my mouth started to look protruded, so I dissolved them all. But the lateral philtrum area looked too long and my lips looked thin too, so it was subtly stressful...ㅠㅠ
Since fillers were no longer an option, I was thinking about surgery and decided on mouth corner lift surgery. I was also considering lateral philtrum reduction at the same time. I wanted the horizontal length of my lips to become a bit longer too, so I mentioned it during the consultation, and they said that mouth corner lift surgery itself involves making an incision across the horizontal width and lifting it.
I did think about medial philtrum reduction too, but I thought my lips would become too thick, and in my case, it is the lateral philtrum that is long, not that the medial philtrum is terribly long, so I decided not to do it.
I had the stitches removed on day 7, and the area around the surgical site is still a little messy, but I’m happy to have escaped the look of a long lateral philtrum and overly thin lips. Starting tomorrow, since it will be approaching day 10, I’ll start applying Dermatix Ultra ointment.
For food, I can eat if I take little bites, but brushing my teeth is definitely the most uncomfortable. I bought one for little kids and am brushing carefully, sob sob, but I can’t just neglect my teeth either.
Also, not being able to wear makeup is actually convenient, but it’s sad that I can’t dress myself up.. Anyway, I’ll take good care of it, and if I can post another review, I will~
