A review of the double eyelid surgery I had with a partial incision on Friday..! I’m usually not the type to get very nervous, so I wasn’t nervous the day before, the day of, or even while lying on the operating table Once I lay down on the operating table, the temperature was just right, so I even started feeling sleepy.. From the reviews, I saw that local anesthesia hurts, so that was the one thing I was worried about When the first anesthesia actually happened, it just felt like getting acupuncture? And after the first injection, the anesthetic spread and it stopped hurting, so I thought it would be okay But I didn’t know that anesthesia wears off quickly for me... After they had been operating for quite a while, it suddenly stung and hurt, so I told them and got more anesthetic, but that was just the beginning Seriously... after only 20 minutes, sensation would slowly start coming back again.. But since I didn’t know which part of the eye the doctor would touch, all I could do was stay constantly tense and say it hurt when they touched an area where the anesthesia had worn off.. Actually, I couldn’t even really say it hurt. When they touched a spot where the anesthesia had worn off, it hurt so much that I’d just go, “Aah..” for a moment, and then they’d add more anesthetic, and it repeated like that.. On top of that, unlike the first anesthetic injection, the anesthetic shots they gave in between really hurt so much Especially the inner corner area of the eye, maybe.. wow, it seriously hurt so much... Top 3 things I heard the most during surgery: “Open your eyes,” “Close your eyes,” “lidocaine” (I guess that’s the name of the anesthetic.. lolololol) The surgery already took longer than expected and went over 2 hours, and during that time, without exaggerating, I feel like I got more than 30 anesthetic shots.. Since I was getting several shots every 20 minutes.. At some point, I was seriously worrying to myself about side effects from the anesthetic After the surgery ended, my whole body was genuinely trembling lol I think it was because, throughout the surgery, pain would come suddenly without warning, so I kept pressing my fingernails hard into the back of my hand.. On top of that, as soon as the surgery ended, the anesthesia wore off like magic, and the surgical area hurt so, so much I thought, if everyone had this much pain, they definitely would have written it in their reviews, so I searched, but I guess I was the only one who hurt this much. I feel wronged..! When I asked, it seems that usually the effect of the anesthetic injection given at the beginning of surgery lasts until the end Still, thankfully, maybe because I took painkillers, the pain was gone by night Anyway, I had thought of double eyelid surgery as something easy, but it wasn’t.. It’s been two days now and there aren’t really any problems, but even if I end up wanting revision surgery, it hurt so much that I probably won’t do it unless I absolutely have to..
