Aaaahhhhhh First of all, I’m so happy. I’m so sick and tired of surgery.. You’ll know if you look at the posts I’ve written. Even on my way to get revision nose surgery, I wasn’t nervous at all.. When the anesthetic needle went in, I thought, ‘Ah, I’m finally having surgery now~ I just need it to end quickly and recover damn fast. This is really the last time. I’m never lying on an operating table again!!! I’m so sick of this!!! Please finish quickly!!’ That’s the mindset I had as I went under anesthesia lol
After the surgery, the rib area hurt like I was going to die. With double jaw surgery, it hurts like crazy and you have no mental or physical energy, but with autologous costal cartilage, your mind and body are fine, but your rib hurts. You have plenty of stamina, but you’re suffering because of the rib. That’s the difference.
For recovery after surgery, with double jaw surgery, even eating is hell for the first week, and the first month is painful, but with autologous costal cartilage, it’s just that the rib keeps hurting. Since facial recovery is fast, it’s easier, but only the rib hurts. Strangely, I couldn’t walk at all. Maybe because I had surgery in my 30s. Even now, on day 4, I walk like a grandma lol I’m going crazy
Anyway, nose surgery. Before our doctor performed the big procedure, he told me it was an extremely difficult case ^^ 1. Double jaw surgery case - even if the surgery goes well, there is a very high possibility that the nasal tip could collapse. 2. Contracture, the nose was too damaged - the nasal tip was just damaged. Completely. 3. Skin tightness - there isn’t enough skin for the nose to settle into place. Even if the nose tries to settle, my skin pulls on it, so the nose sinks down. The funny thing is, my cheeks sag severely, but my nose has skin tightness... what kind of ridiculous case is that?
Sigh... it made me sad. I was proud of myself for enduring 10 years with this face.
After the surgery, I looked like a total monster.
On top of that, during my previous nose surgery, they didn’t correct my deviated nose, so my nose was crooked. The nasal airway itself was crooked. I’ve lived with rhinitis, and since the nasal passages were different, I’ve lived barely able to breathe through one side.
This time, on day 2, I went to have the cotton removed and felt something amazing. Wow... so this is what breathing is. Cool air came in smoothly and comfortably, and tears welled up in my eyes ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ I wondered, what have I been doing all these years?.. lol
Everyone. For anyone like me who is thinking about revision surgery, really, make sure you either remove it or redo it! I’m so satisfiedㅠㅠㅠ I’m grateful to my doctor.
I put this together for swelling and recovery, so I’ll delete it later. I can’t bring myself to upload a front view because it’s my personal information!
