This is my consultation review for a third double eyelid surgery
First of all, I had my first double eyelid surgery by incision ten years ago, but a few months later I got multiple creases on one eye, so a year later, at the same clinic, I had ptosis correction (double eyelid revision surgery)
The multiple creases were fixed, but both eyes were severely uneven One eye had an in-out line and the other was almost an in-line? Anyway, one eye was thicker, and the double eyelid shapes were different too The reason I decided on a third surgery was that I had sausage-like double eyelids even though I had no fat in my eyes When I closed my eyes, the sausage-like fold + surgical scars were very noticeable, and that stressed me out so much. When my eyes were open and I had makeup on, people didn’t really notice, but when I was bare-faced, it was very obvious
My criteria for choosing clinics was that I went around to places near Gangnam Station that are famous for eyelid revision, and at first I booked a total of 8 clinics, but in the end I only visited 5 and then had surgery
1. ㅇㅁㄹ - Director ㄷ The consultant here? was a man. Even though I went early in the morning, the wait was long, and what I felt after consulting with the director was that I couldn’t understand what he was talking about The sausage-like part of my eyes was a bit droopy and bulging, but since I’m the type with no fat, it looked a bit saggy But he said that part was muscle? I kind of couldn’t understand what he meant I had to leave because of my next appointment, but I was supposed to talk one more time with the consultant at the end. Since they were busy, we decided to do it by phone, but after that I never got a call But I wasn’t planning to do it there anyway, so it was okay
2. ㄱㄴ - Director ㅇ First, I had heard a lot before going that this place was expensive, so I was a bit nervous + didn’t expect too much, but the director’s speaking style was very gentle and he explained things well One thing that was a little disappointing was that it seemed like he wanted to operate by matching one eye? I was recommended lowering the incision line + two-line dissection. He said he would decide on ptosis correction for one eye after opening it up Since I wanted a natural look, he talked through things in that direction
3. ㅇㄹㅇㅇ - One director I went because I heard this place only does eyes, and I liked the director and he explained things well I was recommended fat grafting into one eye. Same incision, but he said to do one-line dissection. He said two-line dissection shouldn’t be done This place also felt good. The consultant didn’t push, but the consultant spoke a bit more strongly than the director? so I was a little surprised? about that
4. ㄸㅋ - Director ㄱ This place had the longest wait, many foreigners, and there were also a lot of people who came for consultations Here, I was recommended incision, not two-line dissection, fat grafting, and one more thing, but I don’t remember Among the places I went to, this was the most expensive
5. ㅇㅇㅋ - One director There was a moderate wait, the director seemed very experienced, and the consultant kindly showed before-and-after photos This was the only place that showed photos with the eyes closed and told me that some degree of scarring could remain Here too, I was recommended lowering the incision line + two-line dissection, and also fat repositioning downward + slight ptosis correction for one eye
After visiting all 5 places, I had pretty much made up my mind, so I canceled the remaining appointments I didn’t have much time, so I did it at the place that matched my schedule and also felt good to me! Right now there is still swelling, but looking at the line alone, I think it turned out well. But I think I’ll only know about the sausage-like fold and eye scars I was worried about after all the swelling goes down!
