I started orthodontic treatment in February when I was 23 and continued until May when I was 26. I had 4 teeth extracted, and while extracting them, there was a decayed tooth, so they removed one because of that. Could that have been the problem? I never thought treatment they said would take 1–2 years would go on for 4 years....
Thinking about it now, I feel like I got scammed by a promotion. I did it right after being discharged from the military because they said they would give me a discount, so I paid 4.5 million won. And I paid an additional 50,000 won every month as a monthly fee.... Since it was 4 years, adding another 2.4 million won means I basically paid 7 million won. It took a long time, and after everything was finished, a lot of my teeth had decayed again, so I think I spent close to 10 million won in total.
My mouth did move inward, but it wasn’t that severe to begin with, so somehow I’m not satisfied. I also have to wear retainers every time, and my gums have receded a lot, so I feel like my gums might get worse as more time passes.
Now that I’ve written this, I’m even less inclined to recommend it. People with larger lower faces seem to finish quickly. I hope you look into it carefully before doing it.
