Consultation review of eye-specialized clinics

I searched and only went for consultations at places that came up as eye-specialized clinics.

IQ Male director / Gangnam

As it is a one-doctor clinic, the wait is long. The consultant was kind and had a straightforward feel. It felt like she said only what needed to be said! The director looked a bit busy, but he held the double eyelid line for me and said natural would suit my eyes much better, recommending an inline to in-out line. He also said ptosis correction was not absolutely required, but to get the line I wanted, my eye-opening strength is currently weak, so it would be better to do it together. But when I worried that it would become sausage-like, he said he would do it really, rea~lly lightly, so I did not need to worry. For canthoplasty, at first he said I did not need to do it at all, but when I said I disliked round eyes, he recommended epicanthoplasty. He said not to insist on non-incisional just because it is a first surgery, and that my eyes are exactly suited to incision because the eyelids look a bit droopy! He said, rather than only thinking about fast recovery right now, should I not consider that it will not come undone long term? It sounded right, but.. he felt more firm than I expected! *Estimate / Incision + ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty AS / 1 year

Olo Male director / Apgujeong

This was also a one-doctor clinic and there were many people, but I still got the consultation faster than the previous clinic. The consultant was kind and explained things in a way that did not feel uncomfortable. The director explained ptosis correction rea~lly thoroughly. He did not just say why ptosis correction was needed, but also explained things like why side effects occur afterward, so it was easier to decide whether to do it or not. Here too, they said my eyes needed ptosis correction (when trying the line, it came undone quickly, and they said the strength differs between both eyes), and recommended incision as the surgical method. Since the strength differs, the eyes have subtly different symmetry, so to match that detail, incision is the right surgical method. Here too, I was worried that the line might be too thick like a sausage, but the director said that doing incision does not automatically mean the line will be thick, and that a sufficiently thin double eyelid is possible. He showed me by holding the line several times with virtual simulation, so it was easy to understand, and I understood why he suggested making it natural. He did not simply hold it as inline to in-out, but showed it very carefully in terms like a few mm. Of course, he also held the line directly on my eyes, so keep that in mind! *Estimate / Incision + ptosis correction (canthoplasty optional) AS / 3 years

I plan to go around for more consultations next week too, so if I have time, I will post again. Even though double eyelid surgery is commonly done, I heard you have to choose carefully, so I am thinking of only going to eye-specialized clinics from now on too. Everyone, please use this as reference.
