I had my nasal implant removed recently because I developed contracture and inflammation. My original nose naturally had a low bridge and a pig-like nasal tip, but after I had the silicone removed recently, even allowing for scar tissue, is it possible for it to be this high? My nasal ala is also hard ㅠㅠ When I had my first nose surgery 20 years ago, I don’t remember whether they used silicone or Gore-Tex. And 6 years ago, I had an L-shaped silicone implant placed. This time, when it was removed, I did confirm that the L-shaped one was taken out, but after a week, when the bandage was removed, my nose looked like the size from the surgery I had 20 years ago. In other words, it is the nose size from before the revision surgery 6 years ago.
So when I had the revision surgery 6 years ago, I don’t know if they left the old one in and layered the new one on top, but my nose is exactly the same shape as after my first surgery 20 years agoㅠㅠ I feel like during this removal, the doctor didn’t notice it and only removed the L-shaped silicone.
When I asked the doctor why my nasal bridge and nasal ala were so high, they said it was scar tissue. I went to 5 other hospitals, and all the doctors asked me whether it had really been removedㅠㅠ On CT, the nasal bridge doesn’t show up white like silicone, and it doesn’t seem like scar tissue, but it does seem like something is in there. The doctors also said they would need to open it through an open approach and checkㅠㅠ But they said the nasal bridge is hard and that something seems to be moving. But I don’t think this hospital will remove it again. They keep saying it is scar tissue, and anyone can see that my nasal ala and nasal bridge are very high and hardㅠㅠ I can’t trust the hospital, and they only ask what I will do about revision surgery after 6 months. They say that when I rebuild the nose, they will remove the scar tissue during the surgery. Does that make sense? My nasal bridge is hard and my nasal tip is bluntㅠㅠ
I paid a deposit of 2 million won. We agreed that I would pay the remaining balance after the inflammation settled and I had the nose rebuilt a few months later. But they only removed the L-shaped silicone and didn’t remove anything else, so I’m frustrated and posting this because I don’t know whether I should give up the 2 million won and go to another hospital.
