Hello, it’s been about 14 days since I first joined.. and I finally got double eyelid surgery!! ㅠㅠㅠ I’m so moved..... First,
I’ll post my review of in-person consultations in Seomyeon, Busan. This is extremely personal, so please just use it as reference, and you really must go to consultations yourself!
First, from the hospitals recommended here, I went to 5 places: ㅋㅇㅇㅈ, ㅇㅇㅇㅋ, ㄷㅍㅇㅅ, ㅈㅇㅊ (not in Seomyeon), and ㅇㅎㅅ.
To begin with, my eyes have weak opening strength, no double eyelids, sunken eyes, and asymmetry [the opening strength is different in each eye].
1. ㅈㅇㅊ (I keep getting the name confused, but ㅈㅇㅊ is correct!)
An acquaintance of my older sister had it done here and it turned out really pretty, so I went because it was highly recommended. I made a reservation and went, but after looking at my eyes.. they said that if I got it done, the eyes could look dramatically pretty, but because they are asymmetrical, they couldn’t do it. They said that right now the difference may not look that noticeable, but... after surgery it would stand out more and the asymmetry would become worse. I really wanted to do it, so I asked whether I couldn’t do it together with ptosis correction, but they showed me photos and said if I did, the difference would be this big. Then they wrote “no order” and it was over in 3 minutes.. The doctor sent me off saying, “I’m so sorry~” and I got choked up.. I guess I should say it felt so empty.. (I went trusting only this place because people around me said they were good..) I spaced out for an hour, then got stubborn.. and went to Seomyeon for consultations.
2. ㅋㅇㅇㅈ
This place also had many recommendations, so I made a reservation and went. The consultant counseled me and said I only needed minimal incision with 3 stitches, together with ptosis correction and fat grafting. There are two directors, and for minimal incision, she said I should go with [I can’t remember the name ㅠㅠ director]. I tried to consult with the director, but he was in surgery and they told me to come back after 2 hours, so I went back after 2 hours. Before the director looked at the chart, it seemed like he was about to say something different.. (a different method..), but after seeing the chart written by the consultant, I felt like he was talking based on that... After looking at the chart, he said the same thing. For now, I didn’t want to do fat grafting.. so I put it on hold [3-year AS]. I also mentioned the asymmetry, but they said it wasn’t that different, that natural eyes are asymmetrical, and that it would not become severely uneven.
3. ㅇㅇㅇㅋ I first went without a reservation, but they were in surgery, so I made another reservation and went. I consulted directly with the director, and he mentioned an upper epicanthoplasty and incision. The cost was the cheapest. After that, I talked with the consultant, and since the cost was the cheapest, I checked online, and she quoted it a bit lower as an acquaintance referral. They only mentioned incision and ptosis correction. I liked this place.
4. ㅇㅎㅅ This place had very mixed reviews, so I hesitated, but I went anyway. The director was in surgery, and they said I would have to wait 30 minutes for a consultation, so I said okay and waited.. The counter staff were honestly not kind....... It was kind of like, “I’m me, so what?” [confidence? overflowing..] Well, I’m the one who wants the consultation, so I’m in the weaker position, so I waited. After 20 minutes, they told me to come to the counter, and a staff member looked at me.. I wondered, “If this was going to happen, why did they tell me to wait?” but I listened carefully.. Because my eyes are sunken (the consultation time was around 1 p.m.), they recommended fat repositioning, epicanthoplasty, and incision, and it was the most expensive. I asked if I couldn’t skip the fat, but they said if they’re this sunken at this time, they’ll sink more in the afternoon.. Then the double eyelid line would form as a double line, so it was absolutely necessary!! (Ha.,. my eyes were already in a state where all the swelling had gone down.. It’s not like they’re some sinkhole, but they kept saying they were sinking.. For 30 minutes after the consultation, I could only think about sinkholes....ㅋㅋㅋㅋ)
5. ㄷㅍㅇㅅ AS 2 years I went without a reservation. I was so exhausted that I didn’t designate a director and just saw whoever, but they said that doctor was also famous.. They said he was famous on an app, but I’m old.. I’ve never used the app before. He talked about ptosis correction and incision, and said I could do epicanthoplasty or not. Afterward, I consulted with the consultant, and she showed me eye photos and talked about the price.
- I heard the director here was famous, so I saw that director again on another day. I also mentioned the asymmetry, and he said it wasn’t that different, then talked about fat grafting. He said epicanthoplasty was optional, but recommended fat grafting because it would make me look younger. He said sunken eyes make you look older. After consulting with the director, I completely liked it, so I decided to do it here! The consultant showed me eye photos, and they turned out so pretty that I immediately paid the deposit and set the date. Fat grafting can be done twice: the first time, and one additional fat graft within 2 years.
Honestly, I was so depressed after being rejected on the first day.... I really think you need to go to a lot of consultations.. Right now my eyelids are swollen, but once the swelling goes down, I’ll come back with a photo review!!
