This is my 2-week review of rhinoplasty. I also had revision eye surgery done together. At Dareum Plastic Surgery, I had my eyes done by Director Moon Yujin and my nose by Director Song Jinwoo, respectively.
For my nose, I decided on surgery because of nasal flaring, a low nasal bridge, and asymmetry. When I had the consultation with the director, I liked that he tried to understand exactly what I was unhappy with and honestly explained how it could be improved. More than anything, I had a lot of worries about materials because I couldn’t use my septal cartilage (other hospitals suggested mesh and donated costal cartilage), but the director did not recommend costal cartilage because I’m still young, and said it would be fully possible with only ear cartilage, so I decided right away. I’m satisfied with the result! I asked for it to look natural, and I think it came out exactly the way I wanted. My dad had opposed it a lot too, but now he likes it and says it turned out well without being excessive.
For my eyes, I had previously had non-incisional buried sutures, but they came undone, so I had revision surgery. Director Moon examined me carefully during the consultation and set a line that suited my face, so I decided to have surgery! I’m completely satisfied with the eye result too. As the swelling is gradually going down, my original eye mood is coming through too, and I think it was corrected the way I wanted without being excessive! My parents also say my eyes have become much clearer and that it turned out really well haha
The hospital is clean, and the consultation manager and staff are kind too! They said they would take responsibility and care for me if side effects like inflammation or contracture occur, and they also do the aftercare carefully. I’m looking forward to seeing what it’ll be like at one month!!
