Before-before-after-after-after I’m a student preparing to become a flight attendant. The way you style yourself changes a lot depending on the job, right? I really think the flight attendant field has a lot of appearance restrictions(?).... Especially people like me who have a complex about their face shape will probably get really stressed ㅋㅋ You have to part your hair, pull it tightly back, and always keep it in a hair net, and honestly that kind of look may be neat and nice for people with slim faces, but for angular, bumpy face shapes like mine, it’s a huge minus ㅠ Even if I added volume on top of my head, attention still went straight to my face shape. I’d heard people call me pretty a lot wherever I went, but I realized once again that it wasn’t that my face itself was pretty, it was that I had just found a style that suited me ㅋㅋㅋ
But once I get a job, I’ll have to work with nothing that can cover my face, right? That really made my self-esteem drop ㅋㅋ I started with things like lifting treatments and gua sha, but no effect. Sleeping with rubber bands hooked on my ears before bed, no effect. From the start, the issue wasn’t a puffy swollen face but the bone structure, so the answer ended up being facial contouring surgery.
Everyone has different standards for choosing a hospital, but I had absolutely no intention of chasing my dream while living with side effects, so I put hospital reputation, size, and safety system as my top priority. After that, I think I got a lot of information from friends who are interested in plastic surgery. I also lurked in communities and read quite a lot ㅋㅋ Since I was looking at things like safety systems and scale, I mainly went to consultations at larger hospitals. This is definitely a matter of preference, but for me, large hospitals were better than small clinics. And the hospital where I had surgery said they had no accidents, so I think that made me trust them even more.
When I went for the consultation, I brought photos of Go Youn-jung and said improving the square jaw area was urgent. After a long consultation, I decided to do three procedures, and I was wondering whether to just do the square jaw and cheekbones, but at the end, the director said if I wanted that elegant, slim, long-face look like Go Youn-jung, a slight length extension would also be good, so I did it together. Now that my short face has gained a little length, it definitely gives off a much more elegant look. At first I thought, ah, I only wanted two procedures, did I make a mistake saying I’d do three? But looking back now, it was the best choice..ㅎ
After surgery, a lot of the swelling has gone down now (the photos are from 1 month post-op), and when I wear my hair up, I can really feel that the focus is dispersed. It gives exactly that neat flight attendant? announcer? kind of vibe I had imagined, so I really like it ㅋㅋ Now even when I take photos with my hair up, they come out nicely, and maybe because my face got smaller, my proportions look better too, so I’m really happy ㅋㅋ It feels like I didn’t just simply become prettier, but even my job satisfaction went up ㅋㅋ And more than anything, I’m so happy I had the surgery safely.
