I had breast surgery with Director Lee Young-dae at Mulbangul Plastic Surgery last December, and it’s already been 11 months now! While doing my research, I had Mentor Xtra implants in mind and went to consultations, and when I actually touched them, Mentor Xtra definitely felt soft and seemed like it would settle naturally, so I decided on Mentor Xtra. I wanted natural volume that would make clothes fit nicely and suit my body well, rather than breasts that were too large, so I got 310 cc on the left and 330 cc on the right. These days, it does seem like the trend is to go bigger, and I also felt a bit greedy thinking “since I’m already getting surgery,” but I really think not going too big was the right choice.
Ever since I was a student, my friends and family joked a lot about my small breastsㅠ Even though I knew they were jokes, hearing it over and over made me sensitive about it, and it became a complex.. I thought maybe my breasts would get bigger if I gained weight, so I tried gaining weight, got massages that were supposed to enlarge the breasts, and drank teas too, while putting surgery off as a last resort, but nothing worked no matter what I tried. I like glamorous-style clothes, but my actual body didn’t match the look I wanted, so I always wore padded brasㅜ In summer, the thick pads made me hot and sweaty, which was hard, so I kept thinking I’d get surgery someday, and this time I finally gathered the courage and did it. I think I looked up every kind of review on this community and other sites too. Since it’s a major surgery, I was worried about side effects, and there were people around me who regretted it because of discomfort or a poor design even when the surgery itself went well, so I thought about it a lot. But I’m so satisfied that the time I spent worrying feels like a waste! Not being too greedy was the key move. First of all, I think finding a trustworthy hospital is important. Rather than just following someone else because they say a place is good, when you personally consult with the director, I think there’s a hospital that feels right for you. For me, that was this hospital, and because I’m suspicious by nature, it was tiring going around to consultations here and there, but the surgical result was good, so it felt worth it.
After surgery, I really feel like I gained a lot of confidence. Once the thing I had considered a complex disappeared, I became more relaxed personality-wise too, and wearing the clothes I wanted and going around here and there has made me brighter as well. Also, I originally had inverted nipples and used to wear a corrector in daily life, so I wondered whether I should get inverted nipple surgery together with the breast surgery. But the director told me that in some cases inverted nipples can be corrected after breast surgery, so after thinking about it, I decided to do only the breast surgery first. As a result, in my case, the breast surgery corrected the inverted nipples too, so I didn’t need to undergo additional inverted nipple surgery. Functionally too, my quality of life has improved so much after breast surgery that I wonder why I didn’t do it earlier! And after the surgery, my boyfriend’s reaction was no joke.. He knew what I looked like before surgery, and I thought men wouldn’t feel much about surgically enhanced breasts, but after surgery he keeps saying my breasts are so pretty and trying to touch themㅋㅋㅋ He also gets anxious and dislikes it when I go to places like the gym or swimming pool where I have to wear fitted clothes, so I think that’s the only drawback that isn’t really a drawback of the surgery.
