I've already had revision surgery with an incisional double-eyelid procedure, but I have an extra crease at the end, and I'm not sure if it has come undone. Whenever I'm tired, my double eyelid seems to sink in, so I've finally decided to get revision surgery after almost 8 years and went around to consultations at a few places, but I'm really torn. (For reference, I have an in-out line and small, horizontally narrow eyes.. haha)
1. ㅁㅂ, Dr. ㅅㅇㅎ First, when I went there, there was a bit of a wait, but I was able to have the consultation pretty soon. After taking photos, I had the consultation with the director while looking at the photos. Maybe because he came in for the consultation right after surgery, he did look a bit tired, but he explained things in a lot of detail. The director said that since both eyes had already been done with incision, doing another incision would only create more scarring, so he recommended natural adhesion. (He said he wasn't sure whether the scar-tissue area would improve...) What I'm curious about is, if I do natural adhesion on eyes that have already had incision twice, I don't know whether the holding power would be good... Has anyone had a case like this? For the line, he suggested proceeding in the direction of recreating my current line. Also, I requested an upper canthoplasty, and at first he said it seemed better not to do it, but after I asked a few more times, he said he would open it only very slightly under that condition. The consultation manager didn't feel extremely friendly, but more like professionally friendly in a businesslike way.
2. ㅇㄹㅇ, Dr. ㅇㄷㅅ I went straight into the consultation without waiting, and here too, they took photos and then proceeded with the consultation while looking at them. From the consultation with the manager, she tried making lines on my eyes and gave a diagnosis. She said it could change here, but she roughly told me what surgery I might need. After that, I met the director for the consultation. He reflected my opinions and tried several different lines, but the conclusion was to proceed with incision, keeping the current line as it is. He said they would do their best with the scar-tissue area, but because the existing scar is from an incision, that part can't really be helped. Instead, he said that when doing the revision incision, he would proceed cleanly so that no scar is left. And here, they said that when doing the incision, upper canthoplasty absolutely has to be done together. Both the director and the consultation manager were really kind! But after looking at reviews in this community, there were many saying the A/S part was insufficient, so I'm worriedㅠㅠ
3. ㅅㅇㅇ, Dr. ㄱㅁㅅ Without waiting, I met the manager right away, talked about the direction I wanted, and then went into the director's consultation. Here, they didn't take separate photos. The director asked me in detail, starting from what kind of eyes I wanted to achieve to what image I wanted, and he tried making the line many times. He confidently said we should remove the scar-tissue area. The line will probably be done as my current line is (he suggested several lines, but the one I liked most was my current line haha). It will be done by incision, and he said upper canthoplasty also needs to be done. For follow-up care, unlike other hospitals, he said the director himself would remove the stitches and check the progress at 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months, so this was a place I really liked in terms of aftercare. But it has the fewest reviews, so that worries me a lotㅠㅠ
Actually, I did go around to other places too, but I excluded them because some didn't seem to fit me, or they had too few reviews and I felt scared. I really wasn't going to get surgery, but I have something big coming up soon, so I decided to do it, and it absolutely cannot go wrongㅠㅠㅠ
