I had the outline set way too high, so I lived for a long time with sausage-like eyelids. They’re very thick, but now I’m older and the skin has sagged too, so it’s not horribly unsightly, and I’ve been living with it without too much dissatisfaction. But at a glance, it does look like I had surgery, and when I went around for revision surgery consultations this time, every doctor said this is the kind of height you’d see with swelling 1-2 months after double eyelid surgery and recommended revision surgery.
The problem is that only the two-line technique is possible, and they say the line has to be lowered a lot. But although my eyes look intense now, they do suit my face well. People who aren’t interested in plastic surgery and are not very observant sometimes don’t even know I had double eyelid surgery. I’m not the sensitive type, so I haven’t had major complaints living with my current face, (though maybe I just resigned myself to it; I thought revision surgery wasn’t possible) and while I’m not especially pretty, I’ve dated just fine.
But I’m worried that if it gets lowered to an inner-double-eyelid kind of look, it won’t suit me. The doctors say it’s because I’m used to my own face, and that my eyes are more awkward-looking than I think, so I’ll be satisfied if I get revision surgery. But when I search here or in cafes, there are quite a few people who lowered their lines a lot with the two-line technique and regretted it because it didn’t suit their face. Any opinions would be appreciated.
