I did have chronic fatigue, but as more and more people kept saying I looked tired, it quietly started stressing me out. Under soft, bright lighting I couldn’t really tell, but whenever I saw myself under true white lighting, I would be startled by how hollow and tired my face looked. I had naturally come to realize it was because of changes in the fat under my eyes,,
Then I ended up having the major event of getting married this November!! I thought I couldn’t go on like this, so as soon as the family meeting was over in April, I decided to get under-eye fat repositioning and started researching online. I wanted to do it as quickly as possible, but with wedding shoots, fittings, and everything in between, as someone from out of town, it took way too long to go from online research to in-person consultations. Originally, I wanted to do it during the Chuseok holiday, but I couldn’t find a clinic I was 100% satisfied with. My wavering heart repeated surgery booking and cancellation twice, and I was getting mentally and physically exhausted. That was when I found out about IFIT Plastic Surgery, and in the end I decided to get under-eye fat repositioning at IFIT!
At IFIT, compared with all the online and in-person research I had done, booking the surgical consultation and deciding on surgery happened very quickly,, It felt like I was meant to have surgery at IFIT,, If I had gone there for a consultation earlier, I think I could have had the surgery much sooner.
I had surgery on September 27, rested for 3 days including the surgery day, and went to work on day 4. I tend to swell a lot, so starting the day of surgery I gradually swelled more and more, and by the day before work I was pretty swollen, so I was worried, you know? I seriously looked like a fish lol I iced diligently, so by the day I went to work on day 4, I no longer looked like a goldfish, and the major swelling had gone down. With a mask and glasses on, people at work didn’t notice and I got through it fine,, lol
And around one week after surgery, from the front, the swelling had gone down so much that it was almost gone, just like slight residual swelling. When I tilted my head back and looked from below, my midface was still slightly swollen, so it wasn’t 100% my original face yet, but people didn’t notice that either. Usually people see you from the front or from above, right? haha
Anyway, after about a month, all the swelling was completely gone!! Even before surgery, I didn’t want fat grafting, and the director and consultant also thought the same and said I didn’t need fat grafting. I only had repositioning done, but I’m relieved that it seems to have settled well without hollowness after the swelling went down. Now there’s one week left until the wedding, and my boyfriend, who initially opposed the surgery, also said after seeing the swelling gradually go down that he thinks it was good that I had it done^^
It’s not a huge surgery, but it is still a surgery that requires an incision, so I thought a lot about it because there wasn’t a clinic I liked enough, to the point that I considered not having the surgery. But I really think I did well choosing IFIT. First, from the first consultation, the consultant was kind, and the consultation content felt trustworthy. The director looked busy, but even so, he spoke in a careful and warm tone and showed confidence that he would make it look pretty!! Also, both of them kept asking from before surgery through after surgery whether there was anything I was curious about from the patient’s perspective, and they created an environment where I could ask questions comfortably. I think each of these small things has a big influence on a patient when choosing a clinic.
Anyway,, even in everyday life when I make various choices, I’m very much the type to spend time researching until I’m 100% satisfied, so people around me often say I’m exhausting lol. Since this is a clinic I found after investing an enormous amount of time and a small amount of money, I’m very satisfied that I had surgery here!!
If someone around me says they want under-eye fat repositioning, I would absolutely be willing to recommend it.
