I had surgery on 2/2. It has been about 2 weeks now. I’m leaving my personal review.
The most important part: review of the surgery As of my follow-up through 2/19, I’m satisfied. Please understand that the photo was edited from a smiling photo because I don’t usually have photos with my eyes just normally open. My eyes definitely look more open and bigger. * Please keep in mind that it’s still unknown how it will look once the eyes settle and the swelling goes down more.
There is only one director, so I’m satisfied that the consultation and surgery were done by the same person.
They answer questions very well, but you need to find the right moment to ask. If you’re introverted, I recommend writing down what you want to ask, or asking via KakaoTalk. Then you can additionally confirm the director’s opinion through the consultation staff.
The staff check for any abnormalities and the progress every time I go, and they are kind.
There was an unfortunate incident where my eye tore once in the middle of recovery, and after a consultation through KakaoTalk photos in the evening, they assessed the situation and scheduled surgery right away the next morning. They said this kind of thing doesn’t happen often, but that was how they responded.
Since it is a hospital specializing in revision surgery, I do think it’s a hospital you can trust to do it properly in one go.
They don’t explain why you need to do the post-op compresses or why you need to stop certain medications or behaviors before surgery. However, if you do as instructed, there isn’t much swelling or inflammation.
If you trust them and follow the instructions, it seems fine.
