Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

It’s been 4 years since I had septal cartilage used for my nasal tip. How long should I watch for nasal tip drooping...

Hello, I had rhinoplasty around this time in 2017.

At the time, my depression was really severe, so I thought something might change if I got plastic surgery. With an unhealthy state of mind, I had osteotomy + septal cartilage done for my nasal bridge and nasal tip. (Even then, I was scared of implants, so I didn’t get one.) Honestly, using septal cartilage for my nasal tip wasn’t something I had planned to do. They had put that septal cartilage into the columella? area and the nasal bridge, but later, after I came to my senses, I asked them to remove it, so I had removal surgery for free. Then they told me they put that septal cartilage on my nasal tip because it would have been a waste...?(Thinking about it now, it’s so absurd..) I didn’t even have the energy to argue, and at the time I was so mentally and physically exhausted that I just thought, “Whatever, I don’t know anymore,” and lived without thinking about it. After that, I didn’t have any discomfort with nasal tip movement, and I lived without really being aware that I had had nose surgery.

But only recently I heard that when septal cartilage is placed on the nasal tip, some people get revision surgery because of drooping. It has been 4 years for me, but I haven’t really felt like my nasal tip has drooped or anything. How long should I keep watching this? Could it show through or droop later when I get older and my skin becomes thinner..? I recently went to an ENT clinic and had my nose checked, and they said there wasn’t anything particularly abnormal.

I suddenly feel anxious.. For those who had septal cartilage used for the nasal tip, does drooping inevitably happen as time passes? Or can I feel a bit reassured after a certain period of time?
