Consultation day before before before: I was late on the consultation day, so the waiting time was very long. But they consulted kindly, and I had originally wanted to do it at Girin, so I immediately paid the deposit and booked the earliest available surgery date.
-Surgery day: I was so nervous. Before surgery, I decided on the design with the consultant and the director. I used a cotton swab to show the line for how much I wanted it opened, but the director said it would be okay to open it a bit more, so we went in the direction of opening it more. After surgery, I was dizzy and my vision looked double, so I was shocked. Once the anesthesia wore off, it was okay.
-Post-op days 2-3: The swelling was no joke. Seriously, everything except the outline of my face was swollen, so I couldn't even open my eyes, and my face looked shocking.
-After the first stitches were removed: It was okay. The swelling and double eyelid line had not returned.
-After the second stitches were removed to day 10: I was stressed because of redness behind my eyes, the hollowed-looking area, and my double eyelid line changing, and I wondered if the surgery had gone wrong. But after meeting my friends and asking them (they are real friends of 6-7 years who only say facts), they said it hadn't been long yet and it seemed to have gone well. They said swelling and redness can naturally make it look that way when it has not been long, so for now I should give it time and watch.
-Day 11: From this point, my double eyelid line started coming back and the redness gradually improved.
-Day 12: The redness went down noticeably. * After the stitches were removed, the redness, minor swelling, and hollowed-looking area quickly looked much better and improved. - From then on, it felt like it was slowly getting better.
-Day 21: Currently, the redness has gone down a lot and my double eyelid line has returned. It still looks hollowed. There is still some inflammation and redness behind the eyes.
- Overall review At first, after all the stitches were removed, I was so stressed and thought maybe it was ruined, but as time gradually passed, the double eyelid line that had changed because of redness and minor swelling came back, and the hollowed-looking area has been getting better too, so I think it is a relief. My friends also said it went well and that they want to do it here too. Since my small, clam-like eyes were severe, I used to wear heavy under-eye makeup and it was stressful, but I do think the eyes have been lowered a lot, so I am fairly satisfied. My recovery is on the slower side, so it still does not feel complete yet, but I want to put on makeup and go out soon ㅜㅜ I still cannot wear contacts because of the inflammation, so I am curious how I will look after doing makeup. And the hollowed-looking part? They said I have to wait until 2-3 months for that, so I am going to wait. My mom was also very worried at first because of the redness, but recently she looked at my eyes and said my eyes did get bigger. What I felt is that plastic surgery definitely settles more as time passes, so I think you should not judge only by the initial swelling and recovery period. It seems to be settling well, so I am satisfied. Oh, and I can smile with my eyes, but it feels awkward. I think it will be okay as time passes. I want to do makeup soon.
