I originally had strong double eyelids, but I lived hearing a lot that I looked sleepy. One eye had multiple double-eyelid folds, so my eyes were quite uneven. I only wanted ptosis correction, but they said I should do epicanthoplasty together too. (My distance between the eyes was originally wider than average, probably almost around 3.8-4.)
I had not thought about epicanthoplasty at all, but since they said I needed it, I said okay for now.
The ptosis correction was done with a non-incisional buried-suture method.
After getting it done, I suffered from tremendous pain for about a month and a half...
Maybe because of swelling or because I had epicanthoplasty, my impression changed from my previous gentle look to a very sharp look, so I was extremely stressed.
I originally lived satisfied with my face, but after doing it, I lost confidence and became afraid to look in the mirror...
I repeatedly felt relieved after reading posts in this community or on YouTube saying you need to wait at least 6 months, then felt extremely anxious again when looking in the mirror.
And now that two months have passed, it has really become much more natural.
Also, if I do not say that I had plastic surgery, people do not know at all, and even if I tell them, I often hear that there is not a big difference from before.
I only wanted to correct the lack of strength in my eyes from my original eyes, so hearing that there is no difference actually feels really good.
I had kept regretting the epicanthoplasty, but now I have entered a period where I am satisfied with my eyes.
The saying that you really have to wait at least 6 months after surgery... I think I understand what it means.
It has only been two months now, so I am looking forward to it becoming even more natural as more time passes.
I also had nasal tip cartilage suturing done together, but that review will be next time..
