Until now, various people had told me from a physiognomy perspective (??) that my eyes were a bit lacking, but I lived without thinking much of it. After leaving my job, I had a little time and thought maybe I should try it, but strangely enough I ended up doing it within a few months of joining a new company.
For the clinic, I did a lot of online research here and there and read many reviews. Since some people prefer large hospitals and others prefer private clinics, I narrowed down the clinics I liked from each category and went for consultations, then decided on this clinic~ To be honest, the other places I visited in person were extremely famous. For the large hospitals, even with reservations there were so many people that I had to wait a long time, while many people didn’t know this clinic, so I was worried. But after seeing the reviews and, during the consultation, how kind the director and consultant were, how well they listened to my story and tried to tailor things to me, I made a bold choice!! When there’s a problem, I already feel intimidated talking to the doctor or clinic, so if they’re unfriendly or it’s hard to reach them when I want to ask something, that’s really uncomfortable, right?! On top of that, the director had originally worked at a large hospital and then opened this clinic, so it wasn’t that their experience was short, so I just went for it!! haha
For my eyes, I had medial, lateral, and lower canthoplasty, ptosis correction, and incisional double eyelid surgery~ Since my nose and face are not Western-style, we went with an in~in-out line. The surgery seems to have taken about an hour and a half. On the day itself I was swollen, but there was no bruising and it didn’t hurt, so I thought if the swelling just went down I could go to work right away. But around day 7, the bruising started to move downward~ On day 7, I went to have the stitches removed except for the lateral canthoplasty area. The double eyelid stitches were totally fine, but when they removed the medial canthoplasty stitches, it stung and surprised me haha Like being pinched?? But the nurse was very careful and reassured me, so it was manageable. haha After enduring being pinched 4 times per side, it was over haha On day 10, as in the photo, the bruising lasted a bit longer on the front and outer side of my left eye, but after the lateral canthoplasty stitches were removed, it faded a lot within a few days.
It’s been about 7 weeks, and they say there’s still some residual swelling, but at work, after I had the lateral canthoplasty stitches removed in week 2, even when there was bruising, people said it looked so natural that if there were no bruises they wouldn’t know, and asked if there was even swelling. So there was no issue going to work~
Looking at old photos, it’s fascinating that both eyes have become similar in size~ I think I just need to gradually stop opening my eyes with my eyebrows!
