Before entering university, I had pretty severe ptosis, so I went to an acquaintance of my father’s and had the buried-suture method done. That was almost 19 years ago, so medical techniques, especially plastic surgery, have advanced dramatically since then, and opening my eyes has been getting heavier and heavier, so I’ve been looking into it lately, but it’s much more expensive than I expected. I thought it would be in the 3 million won range in my 30s and the 4 million won range in my 40s, something like that, but they’re basically naming their priceㅜ But that doesn’t mean I can become a cheap guinea pig all over again..
After going around to a few places, what they commonly said was: I’ve lost a lot of fat in my upper eyelids, so I need fat grafting. Maybe they removed too much beforeㅜ Upper canthoplasty. Creating a new crease line, and ptosis correction are essential. Lateral canthoplasty is optional. Even looking at it myself, I do think there’s a certain level of difficulty, even if it’s not extremely severe..
But why is everyone surprised whenever I say my last surgery was 19 years ago?ㅋㅋㅋ Is it because these days having surgery 2-3 times is basically standard?ㅋㅋ
Yesterday I went to the place I liked the most, and they said it was 6.6 million won, with VAT separate, so I’m even thinking maybe I should just live another 20 years and do it then.. Why is it so expensive? Of course I know revision surgery is much harder, but if I’d known it would be this expensive, I also think maybe I should’ve done it a few years earlier...
Oh, for reference, the area is Gangnam.
Everyone who had double-eyelid surgery a long time ago and is trying to get it redone, please share tips for negotiating after consultations~ If I say I came from this community, will they treat me a bit better?ㅋㅋ
