This is a 2-year review of lateral canthoplasty + lower canthoplasty! I had the heart canthoplasty procedure that opens the outer and lower areas of the eyes, and at the time of surgery, I was satisfied with how much my eyes had been opened!
However, when I smiled, my eyes would become wavy, and after about 1 year, they gradually started to close back up. Honestly, given the nature of lower canthoplasty, I think it can’t be helped that it closes back up over time. I hope everyone knows that, generally, the results don’t last very long.
Now the skin under my eyes has stretched, but it is no longer fixed like before and has come back again ㅠ I do think my eyes are slightly bigger than before surgery.
Side effects: They tied the thread around the cheekbone area and used absorbable sutures, and maybe because of that, since around a year and a half later, my right cheekbone intermittently feels sharp, cold, and painful. Still, I was satisfied in the short term :)
