I think I went around to about three or four places for consultations, and among them this was the place where I felt the director’s aesthetic matched mine best. They said they would do virtual plastic surgery, and I thought it would not be a big deal, but when they fixed my nasal tip and bridge like this and that on my face, it became exactly the line I wanted, so it was fascinating. I also got greedy about the nasal bridge and asked them to try raising it, but while doing the virtual surgery, I realized that lowering the bridge definitely suited my face better .. This time, while doing revision rhinoplasty, I wanted to use autologous costal cartilage, but on the other hand what worried me was the autologous costal cartilage scar…ㅠ People also mention autologous costal cartilage pain a lot, so I was a bit scared, but honestly pain goes away with time, while I heard scars can sometimes remain for a long time. But I was also worried about side effects from donated rib cartilage, so that did not seem right either. I was looking for a place that would make only the minimal incision needed. Then I chose VN.
Even in the photo I took on the day I got the stitches removed at week 1, there was almost no bruising on my nose, and the swelling was actually less than after my first surgery? I had heard that Director Oh Seung-il is famous for revision rhinoplasty, and seeing things like this, I do think his skills are definitely good.
Well, right now the chest scar is still in the healing stage, so I do not think it is the time to judge it. As for pain, the nose really does not hurt much, but when I stand up, the area where the autologous costal cartilage was harvested aches a bit lol. Even with mini autologous costal cartilage, I guess it is not completely painless. But after about a week, this also gets quite okay. It is not painful to the point that you cannot have surgery. Anyway, during this surgery, I removed the existing silicone and lowered the nasal bridge, and the silicone show-through has decreased and the nasal tip stands out more, so I think it is better. It still feels like there is some residual swelling left, but I like it because the shape seems much more refined and well-set than before. When I go to the clinic, they take care of everything meticulously too... Overall, I’m satisfied. But they say the lifted nasal tip is because of swelling, so it will come down well, right..? Once my nose settles a bit, I’ll probably come write another review!
