In fact, most of my mom’s classmates had surgeries like these, so I naturally thought that was the right option, but it wasn’t.. My mom had eye surgery with ptosis correction
With cosmetic surgery, the surgical methods can basically be divided by age group, right? I think because of that idea, I looked into it with too much bias.. Because I had the mindset that middle age -> lift is essential, I thought we’d have to plan generously for both cost and recovery time, but what my mom most wanted to fix with eye surgery was lowering the crease line, so the doctor said that at this level, lowering the line with ptosis correction would be enough. Even when I first heard that explanation, I found it interesting
But they did say it had to be done with an incision ㅠ After listening to the explanation here with my mom, I kept searching about non-incisional ptosis correction and incisional ptosis correction, and it definitely looked like incisional ptosis correction had a greater effect. So I had my mom get incisional ptosis correction
In the end, I really think it was the right choice to do it this way. If she had gotten a lift for no reason, the scarring would have been one thing, but I think my mom would have been really stressed.. Even here, it still seems like when you search middle-aged eye surgery, only lifts and upper blepharoplasty come up, so I’m writing this because I wanted to let everyone know ㅠㅠ Honestly, there are sooo many surgical methods. I think if you get surgery suited to your own eyes, you can have a successful surgery regardless of age
