Before <before surgery on the day> Before <3 hours after on the day> Before <3 hours after on the day> Before <morning of day 2> I got it done at the place I had chosen after searching all kinds of things. My eyes protrude slightly, and even though I have quite a lot of flesh around my eyes, I didn’t want an incisional procedure,, ㅠㅠ So I went to ㅇㄹㅈ, which is known for being good at buried-suture procedures, and luckily my eyelids are on the thinner side, so they said a buried-suture procedure was possible.. (But this place seems to do buried-suture procedures for most people, maybe I just went there because I wanted that answer...ㅋㅋ) There were posts saying the fixation is strong and that the director is firm about the line they create, but first of all, they shaped it in the direction I wanted, so I chose this place. In any case, I also thought that stronger fixation might actually mean less worry about it coming undone. I just accepted that the upper eyelid area might look a bit puffy,, ㅠㅠ
This place doesn’t offer sedation anesthesia, so I went in mentally prepared, but it still hurt a lot ㅠㅠ And I could feel the stitching too ㅠㅠ I kept thinking, let’s just endure a little, relax the eyes as much as possible, and got through it while clenching my fists. There are lots of photos on blogs and such where the swelling on the day of surgery is minimal, but I think I swelled a bit more than that. Thankfully, today, day 2, it has gone down just a tiny bit. The foreign-body sensation and healing pain only lasted yesterday. I’m relieved, it feels like I got over the biggest hurdle. The way I normally put strength into my eyes is different, and my eyes are slightly uneven, so the lines aren’t exactly identical, but I think I’ll need to watch them over time.
