Male Nose Surgery Days 1-5 Log, Photos Included: Bulbous Nose + High Nose + Low...

After <the day after surgery><day 5><day 5> I had male nose surgery. As you can see, before surgery my nose was on the higher side, but the glabella area was sunken, and it was blunt because of a bulbous nose. On top of that, I even had a hooked nose.. So from the front, it didn’t show at all that my nose was high, and when I wore glasses, it gave off a big-nose look. Even at the hospital, when they asked me to turn to the side, they were surprised and said, “Your nose is high?” That’s how severe the bulbous nose was ㅠㅠ

First, I think I looked around and visited almost 7 hospitals. They said bulbous nose surgery itself is a very difficult procedure. At one of the places I went, the doctor even said it wouldn’t improve that much, so you really have to research properly before going haha I chose a place with a director famous for bulbous noses, and the director was very confident. I saw previous surgery photos and there were so many well-done noses, so I chose it. And I had surgery last Friday (April 2).

The surgery was osteotomy + 4 mm silicone in the glabella area + ear cartilage. On the day of surgery, I had another consultation with the director and then had the surgery. I’ll skip the details of the surgery process. I had surgery on Friday, so on Monday they removed the packing inserted in my nose.

Day of surgery On the day itself, there wasn’t much swelling. There wasn’t significant pain haha But because my nose was completely blocked, it was uncomfortable having to breathe only through my mouth. Especially when sleeping, I had to sleep sitting up, and on top of that, I could only breathe through my mouth, so my throat kept getting extremely dry and I woke up every hour ㅠㅠ It was really so hard.

Second day I somehow got through the first day, and when I woke up on the second day, I was extremely swollen (photo attached). The swelling around the eyes was really severe. The bruising was severe too. There was no pain in the surgical area, and my ear was okay, but my throat really hurt a lot.. Every hour, I woke up because my throat hurt, drank water, then went back to sleep.. I couldn’t get used to it.

Third day The swelling went down a little, but it was still very swollen. My throat still hurt, but are humans animals that adapt? I got somewhat used to it lol, both breathing and the sore throat.

Fourth day In the morning, I finally went to get the packing removed. I also saw the director. It really felt like heaven when the packing came out of my nose. I also got antibiotics, and from now on I apply ointment inside the nose too. During the consultation with the director, he looked at the shape of my nose and said it seemed to have gone well, and that since there is swelling for now, it will become a bit prettier. I can see the nose area slightly, and it definitely seems prettier than before.

The last photo is my current state, and it’s day 5. I’m also going to get the splint removed on Friday, and I’m curious about the shape of my nose. But although it felt like heaven after removing the nasal packing on Monday, now there are blood crusts and runny mucus in my nose, so it’s still uncomfortable.. I can’t blow my nose either, so I just remove a little bit with a cotton swab. What’s interesting is that my nose doesn’t hurt at all, and rather my ear hurts, but only very slightly lol Pain isn’t a big problem. There is still swelling, and the swelling has moved downward a bit, so it’s gone from my eyes and is now in the face area. The bruising around the eyes is still severe haha

I’ll remove the splint on Friday and write another log~
