Still, it was honestly really hard after surgery, and I feel like my swelling is going down more slowly than most people’s, but I’m very satisfied with the surgical results themselves haha. I’m from outside Seoul, so I came down the day before surgery, slept in Seoul, and had the surgery, and I was so nervous and scaredㅠㅠ
First of all, my cheekbones were really big, I had severe nasolabial folds, and my forehead was deeply sunken. My nose also had a slight hump and was thickㅠㅠㅠ The photos below are after surgery! Since I had so many surgeries done all at once, I still have a lot of swelling left haha. They said they need to put in a lot of fat in the beginning too, so my cheeks and forehead are plumpㅎㅎ
The good thing about fat grafting is that my nasolabial folds disappeared!!! And I definitely do look younger My friends say I look like a hamster with acorns stuffed in its cheeksㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ These days the weather has gotten nicer too, so I’m going on walks more often. I still can’t open my mouth completely wide yet, but I’m a Korean with determination, so I eat everything just fineㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ The sensation in my cheeks and chin area still feels a bit dull. The tip of my nose is also a bit hard, but I have no problem with my sense of smell When I wash my face, I’m rubbing it super, super gently.
Day of surgery - I came to the hospital, filled out the consent form, went downstairs, changed clothes, washed my face, and gargled... but seriously, that gargle tasted like sh*t. I guess it disinfects the inside of the mouth, seriously... shaking my head... Then they took medical photos, checked my weight and blood pressure, and after waiting inside for a bit, I had another consultation with the director before surgery. At that time, they drew lines on my face with something like a penㅎㅎ And then entering the operating room... I really thought my heart was going to burst thenㅠㅠ I was so scaredㅠㅠ I’m a total scaredy-cat, so I asked them to put me under anesthesia quicklyㅠㅠ But then when I opened my eyes, I was in the hospital room!! My face felt really heavy... and my thighs hurtㅠㅠ They harvested the fat from my thighsㅠㅠ So it was really hard to even move
I couldn’t breathe through my nose, my mouth had drainage tubes in it, my thighs hurt, and it was honestly absolute hell... To be honest, right after surgery, I regretted it a little... I should’ve just done each procedure one by one, even if it took a long timeㅠㅠㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I felt nauseous and really wanted to throw upㅠㅠ My mouth tasted like blood, I was thirsty, and after spending a long, long time like that, the next day they did the dressing and removed the drainage tubes... At that time I was so swollenㅋㅋㅋ My eyes had completely turned into fish eyes. Even during the dressingㅠㅠ It was kind of an unpleasant pain..?
They told me to walk often after surgery, but at first I couldn’t walk oftenㅠㅠ Because my thighs hurt so muchㅠㅠㅠ Still, I made sure to take the pumpkin juice and medicine the hospital gave me. There’s still swelling, but compared to before, my face circumference seems smaller, so I’m very satisfied Since I had cheekbone surgery, the temple area was extremely swollen too, but starting last week it began to go down noticeably Seeing the swelling go down day by day is so fascinating If you have any questions, I’ll answer as much as I know!
