Before-before, after-after When looking at my face from the front, I was usually concerned about my square jaw and cheekbones. I had only been worrying about it, and it has only been a few months since I started seriously looking into it, but I think I searched really hard! The place I felt most drawn to was Contour Standard, and when I had the consultation, I liked that there was no excessive consultation like automatically recommending all 3 procedures. They explained in detail what the result would be like, so I could trust them and decide, and I was also able to schedule it for the day I wanted. (They paid a lot of attention to adjusting the schedule.)
The surgery was scheduled for Saturday morning at 9 a.m., and since it was the first slot, I was nervous and arrived a little early.. hehe As during the consultation, I met Director Oh Jung-seok one more time, made the final decision, and headed to the operating room. I think I passed out within a few seconds after anesthesia while feeling nervous. When I woke up, I was being taken to the recovery room, and while I was still out of it, they said I had to stay awake because I needed to wake up from the anesthesia, and they came in several times to wake me up. It seems like other people are not like this, but the nausea from anesthesia hit me really hard, so even though I knew I was not supposed to drink water, I kept asking for water.. I thought I would wake up in about two hours and go home, but it took longer than expected ㅜㅜ I was planning to take the bus, but in the end I took a taxi home.. lol When I was having a hard time, the manager and the director came several times to check on my condition.. Looking back now, I am so grateful..! After getting home, I roughly sorted out my condition, turned on the electric blanket, and just sat there.
My face felt tight, but maybe because the anesthesia had not fully worn off, it did not hurt terribly. Because of the anesthesia smell? I kept feeling nauseous, so I think I tried to focus on breathing long and deeply to help get it out of my body. After sleeping and waking up, I felt completely fine. Really, only the first day was hard...
From the next day, it was time spent trying to reduce swelling, and I think I drank only New Care for about three days. Since you cannot suck through a straw, I put the straw in my mouth and squeezed the New Care pack so it would go into my mouth.. lol I was so moved by the fact that I could eat.
From about one week in, I ate steamed eggs, castella, and other soft foods I could eat. (Now that I am in week 4, there is nothing I cannot eat..)
After removing stitches in weeks 2 and 3, I could really feel that the swelling was going down at a different speed, but the residual swelling will definitely take a few months. For me, the remaining residual swelling is around the cheeks, and it feels a bit like recovering after wisdom tooth surgery! Now the swelling is going down well day by day, and it feels like my face shape is gradually settling, so I am very satisfied!
Looking back now, it is also so amazing that I did not bruise after surgery... Every time I saw the director, I was able to ask questions, and these are about the questions I asked. 1. (Question before surgery) Is surgery possible while undergoing orthodontic treatment? -> I was doing partial orthodontics and was told it was possible, but I think it may differ from person to person. 2. Will it set off airport security scanners? -> They said it will not be detected by the security scanner. 3. After week 4, my mouth is opening little by little. Is it okay to practice opening my mouth? -> Possible
From before surgery to after surgery and care, there was nothing uncomfortable, and everyone at the hospital was kind, which left a strong impression! If you are considering hospitals, I would really recommend ㅇㄱㅇㅈㅅ ^_^
