⭐️If you're curious about my original nose and my operated nose, please read my first review first.
I had removal surgery 8 days ago because I was dissatisfied with the shape and had difficulty breathing due to the support strut! I never used silicone from the beginning, and I removed both the support strut and the small amount of cartilage placed on top! I had some swelling between my eyebrows from the day of surgery, and a little still remains. The nasal alae are also plump, and overall my nose is still big!! The bruising on the bridge of my nose is slightly yellow, and I think it will all fade in a day or two~! The airway that had narrowed because of the support strut has widened a little, but because of swelling inside the nose, it still isn't completely comfortableㅜ
Today I had the external stitches removed, and they said the internal stitches are dissolvable sutures, so I don't need a separate visit~ The nasal swelling is going down day by day, but still... hmm, I think a lot more needs to go down. As for the shape, as many people say, it really feels halfway between an operated nose and my original nose. The nasal tip shape still feels about 60% operated nose and about 40% original nose! But strangely, my overall impression shows my old image ㅜㅜㅜ Since my nose has come down and become lower, I look younger and gentler. It's a bit awkward to say this myself, but after the sharp and haughty look of the operated nose, seeing my previous pure image again feels nice ㅜㅜㅜ My philtrum is comfortable when I smile too, and I like that I can smile much more naturally. When I had the operated nose, even when smiling, I would think, won't I look weird when I smile? and smiled without confidence... Now I don't have to worry about that ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
Also, because the support strut had been raised too much, my nose had become squat and short, you know? So when I slowly lowered my mask, it felt like there should be more nose... but the bridge ended too early and the nasal tip appeared immediately?? ㅠㅠ That looked so lacking, and compared to before, my nostrils showed more, so it had no weight and didn't suit my face ㅜ I'm relieved that it's gradually coming down like before!! (It feels like the nose that looked fussy and light has become calmer? ㅜㅜ ㅜ I wonder if you understand....) Also, as the nose comes down, the philtrum length that had looked relatively long because the nose was pulled upward now looks proportionate, so overall my face looks more relaxed ㅜㅜ In many ways, my old face was the best... I got into college with that face and got hired at a company with that face (I went to a major where image matters a lot and I'm working in that field!) Why couldn't I be satisfied? I hate my past self so much. From now on, I will love everything about myself. I won't even get the double-eyelid surgery I had wanted and planned for years. It might not come out the way I think. Through this rhinoplasty, I feel like I really learned about life... that deciding anything lightly can lead to serious trouble!!
For those considering removal... You're probably worrying a lot that if you take everything out, the nose might turn up or get ruined, right? What I can say as someone on day 8 is that, so far, I seem okay. For now, I have become a swollen big-nose, but I think it's swelling and will go down soon. But my own older brother doesn't even notice. I came back to my hometown today after a month. Anyway, the swelling is about that much.. Regarding the nose turning up, the director said that if removal is done from a nose where inflammation or contracture was already progressing, the ongoing process may cause an upturned phenomenon. So if your nose is currently fine, I don't think you need to worry too much about it turning up. Your nose won't be ruined or become insanely uglier than before. What's important is the overall impression, right? That impression comes back. It's only day 8, but I can still tell you that.
I also had a hump shaved and osteotomy that I wish I could undo... so I worried a lot, but once I actually removed everything, that didn't matter much!! I guess osteotomy didn't account for a large part of my changed impression. And if your original nose isn't too unattractive, how about removal rather than revision surgery, if possible? If you have surgery once again and don't like it again, multiple cosmetic surgeries are... burdensome ㅜㅜ That's just my opinion. I removed mine with that mindset ㅜ I hope my reviews help even a little. Everyone, please don't despair too much and stay strong haha
