Before After After After I had secondary epicanthoplasty and am genuinely satisfied, so I’m leaving a review!
10 years ago, I had epicanthoplasty + double eyelid surgery at another clinic. Putting the in-line double eyelids aside, I don’t know whether the inner corners reattached or whether the surgery was done strangely from the start, but they ended up becoming a rounded ㄷ-shape like someone whose restoration went wrong, so it was such a complex for me. To make matters worse, my glabella isn’t wide either, so everyone around me opposed epicanthoplasty.
Still, I hated the rounded inner corners so much that I really wanted revision surgery, and I went to consultations at as many as 5 clinics that were said to be good. Since it wasn’t double eyelid surgery but only epicanthoplasty, most places seemed to do the consultation half-heartedly and kept trying to bundle in other surgeries like ptosis correction or double eyelid revision, so I couldn’t trust them and was thinking of giving up. But at the last place I went, ㅇㅇㅍ, the doctor gave such a kind and detailed consultation. Showing me one eye at a time, the doctor explained how it would look after surgery, how another person with a case similar to mine turned out, and asked whether I had any other concerns.. So in the end, I trusted only myself and the clinic, and went ahead with the epicanthoplasty that everyone had opposed.
I’m extremely satisfied with the result! Only the parts I disliked in my current state were improved, and there was no eye crowding or excessive widening that I had worried about. They say changing the shape subtly is harder than opening it a lot, anywayㅠㅠ It’s been one month now, so there is still some scarring, but it’s gradually disappearing. The aftercare also seems good, so while I’m at it, I’m thinking about just redoing my double eyelids too. I’m satisfied at one month, so I wrote this review. I hope everyone researches clinics well and has a satisfying surgery!
