2012 Autologous Fat Grafting Review

In 2012, I had autologous fat grafting to my face, including my forehead, at Cheongdam Myungjak Plastic Surgery. I had my forehead, under-eyes, nasolabial folds, and chin done. There was a 1-2 week dark period, and I lived with a swollen face for about 3-4 weeks. After that, as the swelling went down, I remember spending the peak period of my life that year. (Maybe if the face has a bit of dimensionality, it gives off a seductive charm; that year I was very popular with men.) At the time, I was lazy and didn’t go for a retouch, and since more than ten years have already passed, a lot has gone away, but there is still a little left in my forehead, so it still has more volume than before the autologous fat grafting. Before, I had a sunken forehead. A younger friend I know said my forehead was pretty, so I thought... there must still be a bit left in my forehead. After that, I also got filler, and after ten years there was still a little left, so I asked the clinic about it. Even though it had been ten years, the doctor kindly dissolved it with an injection. Every time I revisited, the clinic had grown more successful, so I felt somehow proud.

Personally, I recommend autologous fat grafting.

Oh, and the downside of the autologous fat grafting procedure itself is that because fat is taken from the body, just like the downsides after liposuction, if you don’t take care of the thigh area where the fat was removed, cellulite increases after a few years. I’m mentioning this because much later I regretted it, thinking that if I had known this, I would have taken better care of it.
