8 years ago, I had an image filler procedure at Banobagi Dermatology.
After the filler, I also had Doublo and thread lifting. I got filler for Indian lines, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and the chin tip, and it has roughly held up even now. I’m not someone with a retruded chin, but I got chin-tip filler. As a result, the chin tip looked too protruded. And when I smiled, it became slightly asymmetrical. It’s not that noticeable, so I didn’t get a retouch and have just left it as is.
But due to the passage of time and the weight of the filler, I feel like some sagging is happening, so I’ve been getting Thermage and Ultherapy regularly from time to time, and I also had cog threads once. The left side still has good volume, and the right side has gone down a bit more, but for 8 years I lived fairly satisfied with the volume. The issue is from now on... I just hope it doesn’t sag any more.
If I went back, would I do it? To that question... hmm... I think I would. However, while getting the first and second retouches, I think I would ask them to inject a bit less. (And I wouldn’t do chin-tip filler. --> This is personal preference. Other people are also very satisfied with it.)
I think the doctor’s skill is really good. I think filler especially requires outstanding aesthetic sense, and in that area, I think the doctor is more sensitive and good than anyone. But as sagging from the passage of time plus the weight of the remaining filler added up, I ended up spending a lot of money on lifting. That is a downside, but since I have to spend more money on lifting, my face does become tighter and the lines come alive more lol. That is also an upside.
Even after 8 years, I feel like I can still feel the filler. Especially around the Indian band area. I was also devastated, thinking, “Since it didn’t get absorbed, am I ruined?”... (after watching YouTube videos saying never get filler...) But in my case, rather than being bad, it gave an appropriate amount of volume, so there were more good points than I expected. (Hoping I can still say this 10 or 20 years from now... hahaha)
If you all get it too, please absolutely don’t put in too much, and I think it would be good to do only very small amounts at a time with retouches.
