It’s been 2 months since I had 3 types of facial contouring (square jaw reduction, cheekbone reduction, chin-tip surgery), and I was hospitalized for one day on the day of surgery! The left side of my face is still a tiny bit puffy in the cheek area, but I’ll write this in a casual shorthand style~!
They said whether you need to be hospitalized can differ depending on how many procedures you’re having and your individual facial contour condition. Anyway, I was hospitalized for one day and then discharged! I arrived at the hospital at around 10 a.m. on the morning of surgery, and by the time surgery was done it was 6-7 p.m. (this time includes exams (CT, X-ray, etc.) + consultation + surgery + being in the recovery room until discharge) The consultation area and the space where they take CT scans were divided by floor, and during COVID there were partitions even for the seating, so I felt reassured. I liked that each floor was organized systematically. During the consultation, the director asked what style I wanted and even drew pictures, so it was easy to understand The direction I wanted - slightly glamorous but natural? lol.. I was asking for something difficult.. Anyway, that was the style I wanted, and I was relieved that while talking, they understood the direction well For aftercare, they provide shampoo, swelling care, radiofrequency + extra care > of course I’m still receiving it now too I thought about it a lot before deciding to have surgery. I looked up every bit of information I could find, including videos + reviews + studying facial contouring + the director’s experience, etc. Still, I’m a facial-contouring newbie who has a lot more that I don’t know yetㅠㅠ
Right after surgery, I briefly saw stars. It was physically so exhausting and painful! The swelling... was at its peak. The thought came to me naturally that a person really can swell this much; it was insane;; From 1 month until now, both big and small swelling has continued to go down, and they said the cheekbones were done with fixation pins and are healing in place well! They said there is still swelling around the chin, so I need to manage it diligently..ㅠㅠ When I wore makeup after more than 3 weeks, my face throbbed and hurt, but now it feels totally fine! It doesn’t hurt..ㅎㅎ Meat lover..♥ It was okay because I cut it up super, super finely and ate it, and it was my first time realizing how precious eating meals is..ㅠㅠ If you’re going to have facial contouring surgery, please eat lots and lots of what you want beforehand.. I hope the swelling goes down quickly and my face becomes slimmer:) If you’re curious about anything else, please leave a comment
