3 weeks after eye-opening correction and epicanthoplasty at Leo Plastic Surgery

It’s about 3 weeks after the surgery. First of all, after the stitches were removed right after surgery, the epicanthoplasty looked much neater than I expected, and daily life was possible right away. The stitches were removed one week after surgery. After that, the only discomfort was that my eyes, especially the epicanthoplasty area, were sometimes itchy, but after a few days that also went away. People here say that after eye surgery you keep hurting and can’t open your eyes, but maybe it’s the hospital difference or maybe individual difference, because I barely had any pain. After surgery, there are probably many important things, but I think the two most important are swelling management and practicing how to open your eyes. For swelling management, even though they say to do cold and warm compresses, I did it only once or twice a day for 20 minutes each time, and I drank pumpkin juice. (In reality, it’s hard to reach for the compress pack, T_T.) So I walked a lot. But my left eye was more swollen than the right, so when the stitches were removed, the doctor saw it and gave me an injection to help reduce the swelling, then told me to come back again in a month. Actually, around two weeks after surgery, I kept asking the staff at the hospital about management and such, and this hospital answers so well that it really feels like they care, which I liked the most. And after surgery, people who usually have monolids will probably relate: for your whole life you’ve been opening your eyes with your forehead, but now you have to change to a life of opening them with your eyes. At first that feels a bit awkward, but unlike the days when your eyes had no strength when opening, it’s amazing that the eyes themselves actually have the strength to open clearly, and I like that I can open my eyes wide without making forehead wrinkles. Anyway, I heard that you have to practice this a lot for the crease to settle in nicely and make pretty eyes, so I keep doing things like holding my forehead and opening my eyes, or drawing circles in front of me with a pen and moving my eyes around, whenever I can haha. I bought sunglasses in case I would need them, but in daily life people just see me as someone who has double eyelids? Even when I look in the mirror, the line is still not fully set, but it already feels fairly natural, so I’m just going around normally.. I’ll keep posting progress updates.
