Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

<Review of Consultations After Visiting Rhinoplasty Clinics in Daegu>

A bulbous nose with a fairly high bridge I had a consultation for tip plasty + alar reduction without implants I went in thinking about silicone for the bridge, but they said it was already high, so it would be okay not to touch it

I didn’t go in saying, “Please do this and that surgery.” I brought photos of the nose I wanted and asked things like, “What would need to be done to get this nose?”

I went to two places: ㅂㅁ / ㅇㅇㅈ

ㅂㅁ(Director: ㅅㅈㅁ) - Consultation fee X Nasal bridge (slightly with crushed ear cartilage?)+tip+alar reduction Price: basic 3.1 million + alar reduction 600,000 = 3.7 million won = final 3.4 million with the maximum discount Anesthesia method: sedation + local anesthesia Surgical materials: septal cartilage + ear cartilage Surgery time: about 2-3 hours? I think the consultation took a little over an hour It was the first place I went to, so I think it took a bit longer because I asked a lot of questions

At first, they talked about shaving down the hump, but when I said, “Oh no, that’s a bit... can we not shave it?” they said they could finely crush ear cartilage? and raise the glabella a little, and for the tip, they mentioned septal cartilage + ear cartilage. They were very kind

ㅇㅇㅈ - Consultation fee 5,000 won cash Tip + hump shaving + alar reduction Anesthesia method: sedation + local anesthesia Price: basic 3.3 million + hump 550,000 + tip 550,000 = 4.4 million = 3.9 million with the maximum discount But they said there’s no discount by writing a plastic surgery review for an event price Surgical materials: septal cartilage + ear cartilage + donated rib cartilage; they decide directly during surgery which to use Surgery time: about 1 hour and a half I think the consultation ended quickly, even including the consultation with the consultant

The director’s consultation does seem like the tone could upset someone sensitive I’m seriously super sensitive, so I did it while kind of holding back tears..

When I asked if they couldn’t just use septal cartilage and ear cartilage without donated rib cartilage, they were like, “I’ll take care of it,” “If the septal cartilage and even the ear cartilage aren’t enough, we’ll have no choice but to use donated rib cartilage,” “We won’t know until we open the nose,” “I’m the doctor,” and stuff like that I also said I didn’t want the hump shaved, but they said, “It’d be better to shave it? If you want this nose, it has to be shaved”

When I said I was worried about side effects from donated rib cartilage, they said it all comes out after being verified and whatnot, and that they had never seen even one case where a problem occurred They said they don’t do autologous rib cartilage surgery at all

CCTV: ㅂㅁ said they don’t have it, and ㅇㅇㅈ has it but said something like they don’t show it. They said it’s not general anesthesia, but 10 minutes of sedation, then once you wake up, they proceed with local anesthesia, and the director talks to you from time to time during surgery, so there is absolutely no ghost surgery or substitute surgery It does seem like that makes sense

But why won’t they show it?...

Changing clothes: both said there’s no need to take off underwear. ㅂㅁ said only the surgical gown top, and ㅇㅇㅈ said you change into surgical clothes for both top and bottom before going in

When can I wear glasses: Since they’re not touching the bridge, I can wear them right away

Alcohol and smoking from at least 2-3 months later

Both said scar aftercare is free

ㅂㅁ does a maximum of 2 surgeries per day ㅇㅇㅈ does 2-3

Both clinics themselves had a comfortable atmosphere The consultants were all kind too There was no pressure for unnecessary procedures and no pressure to write reviews

But I thought if I just raised my nose, my nostril wings would also shrink, so I went in without even considering alar reduction, but they said raising the bridge and the alae are completely different, and that raising the nose doesn’t make the alae smaller

The director at ㅇㅇㅈ said the hump absolutely has to be shaved, and Director ㅅㅈㅁ explained a method without shaving it.... The surgery costs are also 3.4 million and 3.9 million, a 500,000 won difference, so I’m torn

And while showing them photos of the nose I wanted, I asked, “Would I absolutely have to do alar reduction to look like this?” “Could I get this kind of feel without doing it?” Both of them had the vibe of, since I’m still young, if I want to do it then do it, or try the tip first and do the alar reduction later, that kind of feeling

More than my side profile, I think improving the front view is more important because my bulbous nose stresses me out But I also heard that because my skin is on the fair side, scars could show more, so I’m really torn

Where should I do it....... Alar reduction... should I do it or not.... Anyway, I wrote down what I remembered from the consultations, so it’s a bit disorganized, but I hope it helps someone even a little~
