Review of Consultations for My First Double-Eyelid Surgery

*For reference, I’ve already finished the surgery.. It’s my first double-eyelid surgery. *I had it done by incision. (Might be helpful for everyone with stretched eyelids.) *I did an in-out line and ptosis correction together.

1. Naturalism Waiting time 10-15 minutes Incision + ptosis correction + upper canthoplasty They said that because I had inner double eyelids, my eyes were relatively easy to create double eyelids on. They said that if I wanted a refreshing line, canthoplasty wasn’t optional but necessary, but that it was important not to do canthoplasty carelessly and to do it in a way that fits my eyes. They recommended canthoplasty toward the front and upper side rather than the back, but I didn’t want to look like my eyes were unnecessarily too close together after medial epicanthoplasty (I’d also seen a lot about medial epicanthoplasty revision ㅠㅠ), so I said that if I did one, I would do upper canthoplasty. The director was kind, but the consultation with the consultant was longer than with the director.. ㅠㅠ For everyone who wants to hear more from the director, I think it would be good to prepare more questions in advance before going. -Stitch removal on day 7 -They said they can do one swelling laser treatment when removing stitches if I want.

2. Saegim Waiting time 10 minutes Incision + ptosis correction Since I had already heard about ptosis correction at the previous clinic, I first asked whether I really needed ptosis correction, and they also said I did. They said that when viewed from the front, a lot of my dark irises are covered, and even when lifting the eyelid to check, it was on the severe side, so I needed ptosis correction for it to be more comfortable when opening and closing my eyes after double-eyelid surgery. And because the existing line needs to be removed and a new line created, it has to be done by incision, and even if it’s done by incision, recovery won’t be slow, the director said with real confidence. But here, they said I didn’t necessarily need canthoplasty. Since I was already doing incision and ptosis correction, and I said I didn’t want dramatic-looking eyes, they said there was no need for canthoplasty. It seemed like their aesthetic itself leaned toward natural-looking results.

-Stitch removal on day 7 -They said they provide ice packs + pumpkin juice.

I’ve already finished surgery at one of the two places, and I’m still swollen, so it’s a bit awkward to write a surgery review.. I’m just uploading the consultation review first. Later, if I think the surgery turned out well, I’ll try uploading a photo review too. Everyone, good luck with your consultations!
