Before-before <before surgery> after-after <after surgery>I didn’t go into facial contouring expecting an extremely dramatic effect. I just thought of it as smoothing out the lines that didn’t look neatly refined. These days there’s a lot of talk about doll-like facial-contouring lines and all that, but I just wanted a slim, balanced, well-organized face shape with good facial symmetry, yeah. As you can tell from the pre-op photos, my bones weren’t especially protruding to begin with. But if anything, that ambiguous line bothered me more and made me want to do something about it..... Looking back now, it was honestly a risky thought, but I decided on surgery with the mindset that if I only had it lightly refined like that, maybe the pain would be less and recovery would be faster… I think it took about 3 weeks until I fully decided. While looking for hospitals, I got such a headache midway that I wanted to give up, and I canceled consultations at a few places too…ㅎ Even with the hospital where I ended up having surgery, I had already set a date and then canceled it once. In the end, I went back for a second consultation, and they said they understood my position and consulted with me again, so I rescheduled the surgery date right away that day. After I opened my eyes in the recovery room, for about 3 hours the surgical areas were a bit… painful, but as time passed it got a lot better, so I thought it was more manageable than expected. (This might also be my memory becoming rosier with time....^^) I’m a total capital-letter P type of person, so I only brought a Baskin-Robbins spoon, and I slept well with my pillow raised high..!! In the early period after surgery, I couldn’t eat well, so I lost about 3-4 kg, but once I started eating properly again my weight came back. Since they didn’t shave off much bone in the first place, I don’t have cheek hollowing or sagging so far. The uneven, bumpy parts where the line stuck out have all been cleaned up, and the broad-looking feeling that originally bothered me has improved a lot, so I’m satisfied. Only my family knows I had facial contouring done, but people around me ask if I got lifting done ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
