Consultation with the manager started They came walking over sluggishly They grilled me on which clinics I had gone to and asked whether those places use autologous costal cartilage Looking at the photos taken earlier, they said it seemed like I had almost no septal cartilage and that it would be better to get a CT scan, so I went and had one taken in the middle Unusually, they had me wear a protective apron
At a clinic I visited previously, I was told that for functional + cosmetic rhinoplasty, a certain amount could be claimed through private insurance (deviated septum + inferior turbinate, and I have severe rhinitis) When functional rhinoplasty came up, they said, “We don’t do private insurance claims, but if it looks severe when opened up, the doctor will correct it a little.”
They kept mentioning other clinics and keeping them in check while also bragging about the clinic + director, saying they have over 2,000 reviews, the doctor performs the most surgeries, there’s no swelling, etc. I’m the type who feels strongly put off by this kind of thing, so I listened while filtering it myself

Of course, what they said might be right, but It felt like: “We don’t do private insurance claims. But that’s just a sales tactic. You don’t really need it. Why do it? And if correction is needed once we open it up, we can do it, so we’ll do some to an extent.” That was the vibe But it didn’t feel like an “opinion” with logic I could accept It felt closer to one-sided brainwashing, so I felt even more put off It’s not that it’s wrong, it’s just different, yeah Honestly, from the moment the director said the exact same thing as the manager, I just wanted to leave
Anyway, after finishing the director consultation with no real gain, I had another consultation with the manager The price was 4 million KRW (primary surgery, review provided, septal cartilage only, alar reduction, VAT included) It’s not fixed pricing; it’s a market price they punch into a calculator in front of you haha I had simply placed too many expectations on the clinic I visited before, and actually, if there were no particular issues, I had been intending to get surgery there, so I went to other clinics more for comparison to hear their opinions But I think the gap was too big
Post-op care didn’t seem bad They offer swelling-care service and some kind of skin care, or was it sebum care, and they emphasized a lot that the director personally takes care of you every time you come in for follow-up They showed me a lot of photos too, but they were all 1- to 2-week photos, so it was hard to judge Even at 1 week, they looked very natural and seemed to have little bruising or swelling In cases like this, I thought there was a high chance it would droop quickly, so I made my decision (not to do it here) I don’t even know why alar reduction was included And I was also bothered that they don’t use dermis or other materials to fill step-offs
The same-day reservation price was 4 million KRW, and if deciding later, 4.5 million KRW To fix the date too, the deposit is 400,000 KRW To fix only the price, 100,000 KRW
They said that for a refund, they would subtract 30,000 KRW for the CT and deposit 70,000 KRW within 3-5 days, so I put it down for now and left. I requested the refund yesterday, and it came in today. End
