Eye Surgery Reviews@eye-review

Review exactly one week after posterior and lower canthoplasty!!

Before<Day 7, after stitch removal / Before surgery>Before<Taken with the rear camera without editing, but the scar is not visible..!>Before<Day 2 conjunctival edema>I worried by myself for almost half a year before getting posterior and lower canthoplasty.. Even after worrying that much, I thought, if I still want it this badly, I have to do it!! So I immediately looked for a clinic, called them, put down a deposit for same-day surgery on the day of the consultation, and went!! I don’t live in Seoul, so since I was going there for a consultation anyway, I wanted to just get the surgery done too.

It’s true that I wanted to get surgery right away because I was too lazy to make another trip, but I also looked up every review I could find about this clinic on all kinds of plastic surgery platforms. And all the reviews for this clinic were exactly my taste, and even if those reviews were ads, every single one had no scarring.. The review photos didn’t look especially staged, but I couldn’t find a single photo with visible scarring. So my heart was already leaning toward it..!

The consultation felt like it didn’t even last 5 minutes lolololol. I’m not saying they were insincere, but I think the consultant probably said this clinic’s surgical method is a little different and asked if I knew that, and I said I did. But what I meant was only that I had heard the surgical method was different; I didn’t actually know what was different or how. Anyway, since I said I knew, I think the director didn’t explain at length!! Still, he looked at my eyes for a long time and went, “Mm~,” as if he had completely figured out my eyes, so I don’t know, for some reason I trusted him.. It may have been reckless, but after about a 5-minute consultation, I signed right away and went into the operating room..

I really hate getting injections and I’m extremely scared, so I was very worried until right before surgery, but the surgery didn’t hurt at all, to the point that I was surprised. I heard it was a one-doctor clinic, and they woke me up in the middle of sedation anesthesia and told me to open my eyes. Then I could see the director’s face, right? So I think I was able to feel reassured during surgery. After the surgery, I was lying in the recovery room, and I also liked that once the IV was finished, the director came by once more to check my face!

But after the surgery hurt more than the surgery itself lolololol. On the way home, as the anesthesia gradually wore off, both eyes felt numb and throbbed like they had been beaten black and blue, so even blinking was a bit hard. Still, after taking the prescribed painkillers, it quickly got better, and from day 2 onward, I had none of that pain at all.

Because the stitches made blinking a bit uncomfortable, I think I was waiting so, so much for the day the stitches would be removed.. I got them removed yesterday, and I was really so satisfied. People say posterior and lower canthoplasty tends to reattach easily, but if it reattaches a little and becomes disappointing, I’ve already made up my mind that I will absolutely get revision surgery..

Most reviews didn’t have conjunctival edema, but I did have conjunctival edema!! It was worst on the morning of the second day, and after that it gradually improved. Still, the thing I’m most satisfied with is that the blood vessels in the whites of my eyes didn’t burst..? When I look at reviews of posterior and lower canthoplasty from other clinics, honestly the whites of the eyes look so gross ㅠㅠㅠㅠ I wasn’t confident I could look at my own eyes like that, so that was one reason I hesitated about posterior and lower canthoplasty.. The reviews here weren’t like that, and that was definitely one reason I chose it!!

Even after stitch removal, it doesn’t feel like it will scar at all, so I’m so happy.. I’m keeping the surgery a secret from people around me, so I’m shouting it out here like this is a confessional space, and the post got a bit long.. But if you actually try it, you’ll know. It doesn’t feel like a surgical method that would scar at all..? Right after getting the stitches removed, I wore a hat and met a friend, and they didn’t notice. Even if I went back in time, I would definitely do it again ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ I’m happy.

Lastly, I really want to emphasize that this place makes it look very natural!! But my thinking is that even if they cut it open dramatically, it will reattach to some extent anyway, and the more they cut, the more I think scarring is basically guaranteed.. Even if it closes up the same way, at least it shouldn’t scar first, so that I can decide whether to get revision surgery or not.
