After <taken with a front-facing app after foreign material removal surgery><front view after the last rhinoplasty><side view after the last rhinoplasty><after the last rhinoplasty, witch-like or Pinocchio-like> Somehow, it ended up becoming my fifth surgery.
My first nose surgery, which I had 16 years ago with no information at all, failed completely, and I lived for 4-5 years with a collapsed nasal tip and the bridge implant showing through.
Fortunately, there was no inflammation.
I had my second surgery in Apgujeong. They replaced Gore-Tex with silicone.
At that time, the nose suited me really well... (shape-wise)
But suddenly! I couldn’t stand the feeling of a foreign material and the tight pulling sensation at the nasal tip. I felt like I couldn’t live my whole life being this careful, so about 4 years later, I had the foreign material removed at the same clinic.
At that time, they left the nasal tip with autologous cartilage (ear cartilage, etc.).
The problem was that my nasal bridge had been osteotomized (during the first surgery),
so they said that if all the silicone was removed, it would look very spread out.
So I had fat grafting done to the nasal bridge. Just once, without any retouch.
After that, for about 2 years, it looked natural.
But the pulling sensation at the nasal tip did not improve,
and as time passed, that annoyed me more and more!
Still, I thought it was my own fault for getting surgery so thoughtlessly in the first placeㅠㅠ
I lived thinking there was probably no solution.
The problem was that my nose was already small to begin with, but the tied look at the nasal tip started to show, and to make matters worse, the fat grafting on my nasal bridge gradually spread out, so my face started to look like a pancake. My self-esteem hit rock bottom, and no matter what angle I took photos from, the space between my eyes looked wideㅠ My philtrum started to look long like a camel’s. Gradually... it got even shorter, and my nose became upturned, to the point that it even looked like a contracted noseㅠ
So in August 2020, along with functional nasal surgery, I had surgery againㅠ thinking it would be the last time. Maybe because of my multiple nose surgeries, I usually had severe nasal congestion, so I often sprayed nasal spray into my nose.
It was done with AlloDerm?
Functionally, it improved, but the nose shape I had in mind did not come out at all. Maybe the doctor thought my nasal tip was short and my philtrum looked long, so he lowered the columella, but this part makes my nasal tip look way too long, like a witch’s, when I talk or smile. In my eyes, this is seriously all I can see. I wonder if it’s because the nasal tip is hard. Honestly, if you just look at the nose, it’s pretty, but I don’t know if it suits me. I keep thinking, as expected, maybe there’s no surgical answer for my nose, and whether I do it or don’t do it, I regret it. This waste of money never ends ㅠ
The clinic says the nasal bridge can rise more over time, and if I still don’t like it after a little more time passes, they’ll redo it, but if the bridge gets pulled upward, doesn’t that mean contraction is happening?
It’s almost been 1 year now, but is it really possible for the length to get even shorter??
If it’s dissatisfaction with the shape, it’s not bad even now, so should I just not touch it unnecessarily? I’m worried that if I do it again, it could turn out worse than now, and they say they’ll do it again at the same clinic, but I’m worried because they said the nose I like may not come out. If I’m going to redo it anyway, I’m wondering whether it would be better to use materials I don’t have to worry about as foreign material (such as rib cartilage or autologous dermis) and do it at another clinic...
Thank you for reading this long post. Please give me advice.
