I intentionally opened my eyes upward and looked downward from an angle to make the dark circles stand out as much as possible.>Before<front-facing selfie on day 52 after surgery>The reasons I trusted this hospital and had surgery there were: 1. The director had built up plenty of experience at other hospitals and then opened a one-doctor clinic. Maybe because of that, it definitely had none of the chaotic atmosphere of factory-style or large hospitals. I also thought there would be expertise because the director focuses specifically on eye surgery, not other areas. 2. Both the consultant and the director seemed to understand exactly the direction I wanted and looked confident. 3. The director consulted with me for about 30 minutes, examining my face from various angles, and gave honest and clear answers about the various surgical areas I wanted. For example: “I recommend under-eye fat repositioning, I don’t recommend lateral canthoplasty but if you really want it I can do it, I strongly do not recommend upper canthoplasty, and it would be best not to touch the inner corner area of the eyes at all,” etc.
The surgery process was comfortable. From before the surgery to during the surgery and the aftercare afterward, I felt that all the staff members (especially the director and my assigned consultant) were kind and attentive in detail.
Please understand the attached photos a bit. I got an eyelash perm today, and I should have taken some eye photos before that;
I’m generally satisfied with the results. 1. For under-eye fat repositioning, the left side has nothing to criticize and I’m extremely satisfied. In person, the right side is a little disappointing, but it’s still much better than before. I already knew before surgery that dark circles can’t be removed 100% with under-eye fat repositioning. 2. For the canthoplasty, they opened it exactly as much as I wanted (just a little), but now I wonder if I should have been a bit greedier lol. The lower canthoplasty using lateral canthal tendon fixation was a stroke of genius by the director. Thanks to that, my smiling eyes are still the same and my eyes didn’t become D-shaped. This was something the director had told me before surgery.
Both the under-eye fat repositioning and the canthoplasty turned out very natural. I had surgery right before the holiday, and when I met people after the break, if I didn’t say anything, everyone around me had no idea I’d had surgery. A few observant people only said that my impression looked brighter, more refreshed, and better lol What’s certain is that when I take photos, I no longer have to edit my eyes wider and erase my dark circles every time!!!!!
