After <6 months after surgery> Before <before surgery> I had double jaw surgery to improve malocclusion! Since a protruding jaw was my complex, I wanted to solve both the aesthetic and therapeutic aspects at the same time! For double jaw surgery, I looked into it after people around me recommended that it should be done at an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic. After receiving a consultation at EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and through Director Kim Jong-yoon’s professional consultation, I became more certain that I should have double jaw surgery here! And while I was thinking it over, the consultant’s kind consultation and answers made me decide on double jaw surgery at EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery haha
After double jaw surgery, not being able to drink water for several hours was so hard, but I really don’t think I remember how the time passedㅠㅠ And until day 7, when I woke up in the morning, the swelling from double jaw surgery was.. at its worst ㅠㅠ After walking all day, I could see the swelling gradually going down by evening! There were so many foods I wanted to eat, but not being able to eat them was a bit stressfulㅠㅠ I saw a double jaw surgery patient on YouTube eating cold noodles like crazy, so I tried copying it, but since I swallowed without chewing,,,, it was meaningless,,
And around week 2, I felt that the swelling had gone down a lot, and I was able to eat various foods like samgyetang, potato pancakes, acorn jelly, and kimchi stew, so life became a bit more bearable haha There was almost no pain, I slept well, and at week 3, people around me said my face had gotten smaller, so I felt so good!! There was nothing uncomfortable either haha Once I started orthodontic treatment, all I could think was that I wanted to get it off quickly lol!!
Now at 5 months after double jaw surgery, I’m still in orthodontic treatment, and it feels so stable that I almost wonder when I even had double jaw surgery~ I have zero discomfort and I’m so satisfied with my prettier facial shape!!!
