Before <before surgery, when my eyes were small and monolid> After <after about 2 weeks? There’s bruising in the photo, but it faded quickly> After <taken at 1 month, selfie photo> After <this is also a selfie, taken in natural light> I wanted double eyelid surgery, but I thought if it was done too dramatically, it wouldn’t suit my image, so when I was looking for clinics, I mainly searched around for <places good at creating in-out folds, places that do natural-looking surgery> and went around for consultations!
I went to 3 consultations, and I heard various diagnoses:
1. Incision + ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty + fat removal 2. Incision + ptosis correction + all-direction canthoplasty (...I didn’t even consider this place at all) 3. Incision + ptosis correction + upper epicanthoplasty
Only the 3rd clinic carefully examined my eye structure and explained in detail that I shouldn’t get an epicanthoplasty, but rather an upper epicanthoplasty. And since I wanted something natural from the start, doing all-direction canthoplasty would be.. haha, honestly really excessive, and I liked that the doctor told me that frankly from a doctor’s perspective.
Also, while getting double eyelid surgery, I had always been really stressed because my upper and lower eyelashes kept poking my eyes So when I said I wanted that improved too, the director said not to worry, that it could be done together as surgery for entropion, so I had it done at the same time as the double eyelid surgery! At first I wondered, do I really need to go around to several places for consultations? But now, because I went to several, I actually felt that this clinic really didn’t overrecommend things and that the director was very thorough.
As I said earlier, I was someone for whom >>>naturalness<<< was so important.. So even when designing the double eyelid line with the director, I was practically begging, please make it natural, please make it in-out.. haha. Looking at the result, I’m relieved because I think the director really matched my opinion just right.
And the bruising in the 2-week photo didn’t bother me much because I’m originally the type whose skin bruises easily. Anyway, the clinic provided all the aftercare, and every time I went for a follow-up, the director personally (!!) checked the condition of my eyes, so I felt reassured. If everyone here tends to worry a lot, go to a private clinic. That way they check your eye condition properly until the end..
Anyway, now that it’s been a month, even though it was an incision method, the minor swelling is going down pretty naturally, so I’m just wearing makeup, taking selfies, and enjoying my double eyelid life.. I don’t know what else to write. If you’re curious about any other information, feel free to leave a comment!!
