There are a lot of private comments about ㅇㅇㄱㄹ, and many people here seem to be considering it, so I’m writing a review. The surgery itself didn’t turn out badly, but I had some unpleasant experiences, so I’m mainly going to write about those.
1. Long waiting time Surgery appointment at 3:30, waited until almost 4:50 I heard they only do two surgeries a day, but maybe because of consultation appointments, the wait was way too long. After the design consultation, I went into surgery at almost 5:30. The surgery ended at 7.
2. The anesthesia was not administered properly The IV needle was inserted incorrectly, so the sleep anesthesia did not work properly. I said about twice that the anesthesia wasn’t working, but the nurse told me not to talk and to stay still, saying I would fall asleep. Even though I wasn’t anesthetized, they proceeded with local anesthesia around the eye area. When I said it hurt, only then did they check the IV needle. A blood vessel had burst and my arm was extremely swollen, so they reinserted the needle in the opposite arm and proceeded with anesthesia. (In the end, it felt like they just operated while I wasn’t anesthetized.) Throughout the surgery, I felt anxious, felt all the stinging sensations, and it was very painful. (I have had sleep anesthesia twice before. Both times, I fell asleep right away. I’m not someone anesthesia normally doesn’t work on.)
3. Insufficient recovery time Maybe because they administered a lot of anesthetic since the anesthesia had not worked properly, after the surgery ended I felt nauseous and had severe dizziness. I was lying down and resting in the recovery room for about 10 minutes? when the nurse came over and forced me to get up. When I said I was still dizzy and thought it would be hard to walk, she said I was fine enough and pressured me to go home. It was 7 p.m. at the time, and since it was the hospital’s closing time, I think they forced me to leave because they had to get off work. It’s not that I don’t understand, but if everything had gone smoothly at the scheduled appointment time, I don’t think this issue would have happened.
Overall, the staff and the consultant were extremely kind and nice during the consultation, which is why I chose this hospital. But on the day of surgery, I was uncomfortable because of this kind of inexperience? and inability to handle things properly. Honestly, if I had known it would be like this, I think I would have done it at another hospital. Even though it was about 1 million won more expensive than other hospitals, I deliberately decided to have surgery here because it was a one-doctor clinic and because they only do two surgeries a day, which seemed like an advantage. But I didn’t really feel that advantage. I’ll have to wait and see the surgical result, but if an acquaintance said they were going to do it here, I don’t think I could recommend it.
