The police have issued a non-forwarding decision regarding ㅇㅈ Dental Clinic, which sued a patient with side effects from clear aligners. This is a public-interest post.
This incident still makes me shudder, thinking that if I had not recorded things and collected evidence, I could have become a criminal with no way to defend myself.
I really have over 200 recording files alone. Honestly, how many people would still have recordings from several years ago?...
When I look at the recordings these days, I get chills from how the hospital changed its story, lied to me, and made insulting remarks.

I was sued for writing a review post about side effects.
This post was written for the purpose of sharing information, and it describes objective facts.
This post was written based on the “rights of consumers” guaranteed by our Constitution and the Framework Act on Consumers, and I state that there is no purpose whatsoever to defame the above medical institution, other than the purpose of sharing objective facts to provide information and help other patients, and for social justice and the public interest.
The reason I am posting a review about “ㅇㅈ” Dental Clinic is to help people considering using ㅇㅈ make a careful choice.
I wrote, exactly as they were and without filtering, the things I felt over 6 years of clear aligner treatment and the humiliating and insulting experiences, and I wrote a review based on an actual article
on a cosmetic surgery cafe with the (hospital name, initial consonants, initials) kept private, but someone calling themselves the hospital’s legal team, having recognized it, threatened that if I did not delete the post, they would sue me for defamation and obstruction of business,
and I was directly sued through the prosecution and underwent police questioning.
I was contacted today and told that a non-forwarding disposition was issued.
Soon, I will share the article and the reasons for the non-forwarding disposition for the public interest.
I was sued by ㅇㅈ Dental Clinic. Everyone, please be careful when writing posts.
Also, this dental clinic uses pay doctors, and does not mention this to patients during treatment either.
In other words, some patients receive treatment from the doctor advertised on the hospital website, while others receive treatment from a pay doctor, like this.
They say it is because it is not an obligation, but who would want to receive treatment from a doctor who is not even listed on the website?
I asked several times to see that doctor’s profile or medical license, but the hospital would not show me and said they had no
obligation to show it.
Please be sure to check whether the doctor treating you is listed on the hospital website before starting treatment.
Below are photos of injuries caused by negligence because they gave me clear aligner devices without inspecting them. As you can see, the inside of my mouth became sore and bled.
Later, when I called to complain about this, in the complaint they wrote that I verbally abused an employee over the phone,
but the hospital’s deputy manager personally confirmed that the inside of my mouth was sore, and the scene of them apologizing was also fully captured in the transcript.

Another photo is a KakaoTalk conversation where, after my gums worsened following clear aligner treatment, they said it was because I could not brush my teeth, so I sent a brushing video to the doctor in charge and asked them to tell me the correct brushing method. However, in that KakaoTalk conversation, you can see only the part where the doctor confirmed that I was brushing well and that there was no problem, and then only mentioned closing the space in the area where they had performed interproximal reduction.

Previously, regarding what happened at that hospital and the things I saw and experienced, I wrote about them on an online cosmetic surgery community as a review post about the side effects I was experiencing, and I was sued for it.

I am already upset enough that I am suffering from the side effect of tooth sensitivity, but they sued a patient, and when I asked for my medical records, they made me wait outside in the cold in mid-November for 30 minutes, then suddenly said they could not give them to me. When I went back, they called the police and had me removed. It is so unfair.
In the complaint, they said I used force and caused a disturbance at the hospital... But logically, they even call the police on someone who came to get their medical records, so if I had verbally abused them and caused a disturbance over the phone, what kind of situation is it that the recording shows them apologizing to me?
Everyone, we are currently living in a society in South Korea where you can be sued even for writing facts that exist.
With this incident as the turning point, I intend to fight to the end, whether there are charges or not.
This post, too, will be taken down due to censorship and reposted after 30 days, and those who see this post later should definitely keep this in mind.
If you cannot receive your medical records, report it to the public health center, and if you are sued like me, send me a private message and I will help as much as possible, including connecting you with a lawyer.
I am not writing this to spread any defamation or false information.
I am afraid to write this post too, but for those who are considering clear aligners or orthodontic treatment because they mistakenly think orthodontic treatment is simple, there can be serious, unexpected side effects that lower your quality of life, so please make your decision very carefully before receiving treatment.
Also, when those who see this post choose a plastic surgery clinic, do not be led into making a decision by trusting only the kindness that appears on the outside of the hospital, advertisements, comments, or only successful reviews.
Because that is what I did.
