It’s already been half a year since my rhinoplasty haha I debated whether to write a review or not, but I’m genuinely so satisfied that I’m writing this out of gratitude!
As you can tell from the before photo above, my original nose had a very severe hump, and it looked wide and spread out, so I heard so many comments that I looked older Because of that, my overall impression felt really bad, so I kept thinking that I at least wanted to improve my nose a bit, but I wasn’t someone who had much interest in plastic surgery, so I had a pretty hard time when I first started looking into it. I didn’t really know what kind of line would suit me, and while going to consultations, the terminology they used was difficult too, so it felt like I learned most of it while going around for consultations. During consultations, I kept getting recommendations for a nose shape that would suit me, but honestly, a flashy line didn’t really suit me, and it felt kind of out of place, so I didn’t like it. So I passed on places that recommended things like a few millimeters of silicone, and I think I spent almost two or three months just going around for consultations.
Then I found a place that exactly pinpointed what I had in mind. At that place, I first got a recommendation for a nose design that would suit me, and the director said a natural line would probably suit me, recommended osteotomy for the hump, and suggested improving the nasal line without an implant. Maybe because the director specializes only in noses, the explanation was really thorough, and the style was exactly like a professor’s. It gave off a strong professional feeling
After consultations, at other places, even when I wanted to go home, I got the feeling they were pressuring me to make a reservation? That kind of nuance. But this place didn’t push a deposit or anything and told me to think it over and come back, so unlike the other places, there was no pressure, and that actually made me trust them more. And since I had already gone to about as many consultations as I could, I just scheduled surgery for the earliest available date that same day and got it done!
Since it was my first surgery, I was scared of the swelling at first, so when I mentioned this during follow-up visits and said I was worried, they gave me swelling laser treatment and hyperbaric oxygen care every time I went. Maybe thanks to that, after a little over a month, the swelling went down quickly.
Now it’s been over 6 months since the surgery, so I’m used to my nose, and unlike before, even if I don’t hear that I look younger, I like that I don’t hear that I look older anymore
And honestly... Before surgery, I used to feel unnecessarily intimidated because of my nose... Now I feel like my confidence has quietly gone up. Rhinoplasty was really painful and hard when I got it, but I feel like enduring it was worth it. Of course, appearance isn’t everything when it comes to confidence, but I like the current me, who feels a bit more confident, better.
