Fascinating..>After<After: I’m excited for after the splint is removed.>Everyone.. I.. got my nose done.. I never thought a day like this would come for me.. I hesitated for years and then thought about it for another year.. I panicked while choosing a clinic.. It was hard, so I almost quit, but thankfully, right before giving up, I met a doctor who suited me well and went through with it. I narrowed down clinics by looking at review photos and also checked the doctor’s experience.. As I reduced the list in different ways, there was a nose shape that repeatedly caught my eye, and it turned out to be this doctor’s work. A natural height, a slightly sharper height.. both were my taste. The doctor said implant-free rhinoplasty is not an easy surgery, but it seemed like they were doing it very well.. From the beginning, I wanted to do it without an implant.. I’m scared of revision surgery.. So instead of using silicone, I thought the height would be within the range allowed by my own tissue and skin.. During the consultation, if they had said it might not be possible, I was going to give up, but thankfully they said it was possible, so it didn’t take that long to decide. During the consultation with the consultant, they explained in detail how and where the skin stretches, and even how far the dissection would go. Another thing I liked was that when the doctor is in surgery, they don’t do consultations or outpatient visits. I worried a lot until the surgery, but after seeing other people’s experiences and difficult parts, I prepared in advance and safely completed the surgery well. I heard it was septal cartilage + 3 mm ear cartilage. There was less bleeding than I expected too (one side barely bled..) On the day of surgery, bruising wasn’t visible either. What’s fascinating is that the skin must have been dissected from the inside, but there is less pain than I expected. As I’d always heard, the ear area feels stiff for a little while. The nose shape visible under the splint is fascinating, so I keep looking at it. I hope others also meet a good doctor. For those scheduled for surgery, try bringing a few sour candies on the day. It really helps with dry mouth when the hemostatic packing blocks your nose. (Even though I couldn’t smell, saliva pooled and kept things moist, so my throat didn’t hurt.)
